Max's P.O.V.
Monday
I wake up feeling almost, relaxed. Weird, right? But nonetheless I hop out of bed, and I jump into the shower.
After the soothing shower, I pick out my outfit for the day. I put on my black skinny ripped jeans, a baggy grey sweatshirt with the words 'Coldplay' written in blue. I love the band Coldplay. Anyway, I slip on my bright blue socks on, and I walk downstairs, to have breakfast with my family.
"Hey." I smile, as I pop a squat next to Jake.
"Sup sis." Jake asks, then stuffs his face with scrambled eggs.
I laugh at his egg stuffed face, but answer anyway, "Nothing really. Ya know. Just getting ready for school. Yay." I reply sarcastically.
"Have fun there. I know I did." Jake gives me a smirk. I roll my eyes, as mom places a plate of pancakes in front of me.
"Thanks mom." I mumble. I hear her say a quick, 'no problem' as I stare at the pancakes, and I reach for my fork. But before I can stab the fork into the pile of pancakes, someone steals the top one off the pile. I look up at the culprit, to see a giggling Mason, and to his right is a smiling James, and to Mason's left, was,
Val. With my pancake on his plate.
I close my eyelids, so they can't see me roll my eyes.
"What do you want?" I ask, reaching for the syrup.
"A pancake." Val reply's simply.
"Couldn't you steal someone else's?" I whine, pouring the sticky substance on my pancakes.
"Mason's to adorable, James is cool, and Jake wants to kill me. So, nope." He shakes his head once, a cheeky grin plastered on his face.
"You could have asked mom to make you some." I pout, looking down at my pancakes.
"Never. She works to hard as it is." My heart almost melted at his heart warming comment. Almost.
"Aw, Val. How sweet of you to say that." My mom calls, from the kitchen.
"My pleasure, Mrs. Beverly." He gives another cheeky smile.
"Mamma's boy." Jake fake coughs.
"But, Jake. Val isn't my brother. Or is he? Is Val my brother?!" Mason almost shrieks excitedly.
"Mase, no. Val is not you're brother. Those two wack-a-doodles are." I point to Jake and James, who are both staring at Mason.
"I know that!" Mason whines. Ah, so adorable.
"Good." Jake smiles.
"Where's Austin?" Mason pouts at his small stack of pancakes. My hand, and the fork in it, that was about to feed my mouth, abruptly stops, and I stare at Mason. An awkward silence slithers through the room.
"He's out fighting a dragon." Val reply's coolly.
I raise my eyebrow at, trying to stop the small smile for forming on my face. He just shrugs as Mason goes 'ohhh'.
"Really? Why?" Mason asks, then chews a small piece of pancake.
"He want's to take Max away." Val reply's again. He gives me a quick glance, then looks back at Mason.
"What? Why?" Mason cries. "Is it the Mean Green Dragon coming for revenge on us?" Mason cries into his unfinished pancake. James and Jake give me curious and confused look I mouth 'tell you later'. They nod, and put they're attention back on Val and Mason.
