Hannah woke up to see everyone asleep in their seats, she tried to stand up but Fatima's arm pushed her back down.

"What-"

"We can't move, we're stuck in a tree."

Hannah looked around to see everyone was awake, focusing hard on not moving at all.

"Why don't we slowly move out of the plane?" Hannah asked.

"We tried. We used to be higher up." Jackson said, moving his eyes to point to where they used to be.

"Well how about we make the plane fall, and then right before we hit the ground, we jump." Hannah offered.

"That does nothing, I watched a documentary about it." Samantha called out from beside Julia.

Silence.

"The branches can't break through the plane, so all we have to worry about is the impact." Cara said.

"We're not that high up." Fatima said, looking out her window,
"I say like forty or fifty feet."

"If we do it, we'll die!" Jake called out.

"Well, at this rate we are gonna rot in here anyway." Cara sighed.

"Yeah, if a rescue plane comes they are gonna go by the beach." Julia said from the back of the plane.

"I think we should do Hannah's plan." Cara agreed.

"Lets vote on it." Fatima suggested,
"Raise your hands if we try to escape!" She slowly turned around to see that everyone except for Jake, Samantha, and Julia had their hands up.

"Are we doing it?" Jackson called out from the front.

"Yeah." Fatima answered, starting to get nervous.

"Okay, so on three we unbuckle and run to the center of the plane." Hannah announced.

"Yeah." Fatima sighed.

"Okay. One... Two... Three." Hannah called out.

"Wait! Are we going on three or like after you say three?" Jake said, before anyone could move.

"Damnit Jake, I said on three!" Hannah snapped.

"So...?"

"When I say three we run to the middle. On three."

"I was confused about that too." Samantha added.

"Okay, for real this time. One... Two... Three." Hannah called out, unbuckling her seatbelt.

They all ran towards the middle and made a group huddle. The plane started shifting as soon as they started to move and Hannah barely made it out of her seat when the branches broke.

Before anyone could scream or do anything, the plane reached the jungle floor. As the plane hit the ground, a large stick jabbing up through the middle of their huddle.

Jake let out a piercing scream as the stick was centimeters from his face.

"I THOUGHT YOU SAID THE STICKS COULDN'T BREAK THROUGH!" He yelled at Cara.

"I didn't know for sure! It was a guess!" Cara shouted back.

"It was a shitty guess!"

"Well I'm sorry-"

"Guys, do you hear that?" Jackson interrupted, silencing the fight.

Everyone stood still, listening for whatever Jackson was talking about.

"I don't-"

"Shh!"

In the distance, faint stomps were heard. The steps started getting louder and louder.

"Hide!" Jackson hissed running over to the seats and crouching down. The rest of the group followed, looking out through the half of the plane that was missing. The stomp came again, but this time it was behind them.

"Don't breathe!" Jackson whispered, putting his hand over his mouth.

There was a loud breathing noise from outside the plane, Jackson slowly turned around and saw a huge, red eye peering in through the porthole.

"Oh Fuck me..." He whispered as the creature blinked, looking in at him.
