Cara and Julia ran through the jungle, behind them they heard the dinosaur roar. They took a break behind a wide tree, making sure they remember which way Julia saw the smoke. A loud cracking noise came from the left of them, so Julia climbed up the tree and leaned over to help pull up Cara. Cara threw up her backpack and Julia pulled her up the tree next to her. The two girls watched as a small pack of dinosaurs walked by, sniffing the air.

Cara shifted her weight causing a branch to snap, startling the dinosaurs.

"Shit." Cara said as the dinosaurs collectively looked up the tree at them.

"Do you think they see us?" Julia asked, one of the little dinosaurs jumped up snapping its jaws at their feet.

"I think they do." Cara said grimly as the three dinosaurs paced in front of the tree.

"What do we do?" Julia looked around to try and find something to defend herself with.
"Look!" Julia pointed at some vines hanging from the tree.

"I say we swing from those and jump to the next tree." Julia told Cara.

"Do I look like Tarzan?" Cara asked, but when she couldn't think of a better idea she agreed to the plan.

"You go first." Julia nudged Cara towards the vine.

"It was your idea!"

"You're the one that broke the branch!"

Cara sighed, realizing that she had to do this. She grabbed the vine, positioning herself to jump. Looking at the tree she was going to jump to, Cara took a deep breath, and then jumped.

For a moment she swung through the air, the dinosaurs running after her. Then she heard a snapping noise.

Cara couldn't react in time to save herself as the vine broke. She hit the ground with a thud, the dinosaurs creating a barrier between her and Julia. The dinosaurs growled and inched toward her. Cara held out her hand, palm out in a stop symbol, as a last ditch effort to save her life. And to her surprise, they stopped growling and stayed in place.

Julia took the opportunity to jump out of the tree and run in the opposite direction.

"Julia!" Cara called out as she was left alone with three hungry dinosaurs.

"I'm sorry! I really am!" Julia yelled over her shoulder as she ran off into the jungle.

Cara's hand wavered as her arm began to grow tired from keeping it in the same position, she raised her other hand to switch off, but as she was raising her left hand the dinosaurs turned to the left. Cara lowered it and they turned back to face her. She raised her left hand again, and she slowly walked around the dinosaurs and towards the tree she used to be in. She quickly picked up her bag, not lowering her right hand and back away. As soon as the dinosaurs were out of sight Cara turned around and sprinted away.

"Not today Satan." Cara said breathlessly.

Jackson and Samantha ran through the trees together, not daring to stop for a second, or look behind them. To the right of them they heard a branch break off a tree, which only made the two run faster.

Soon, Samantha and Jackson couldn't run any longer, all the adrenaline they had was gone. They leaned against a tree, blending in with the bark. In the distance they heard quiet footsteps approaching, Jackson readied the rifle.

"Hello?" It called out.

"Julia?" Samantha whispered. Julia's face appeared from the side of the tree and Samantha pulled her into a hug.

"Guys we have to keep moving." Jackson said impatiently.

"Fuck that." Samantha said.

"Yeah, your stupid plan killed Hannah and Fatima. Cara's probably dead too!" Julia whispered.

"Cara?" Samantha asked.

"It was horrible, we were up in a tree and these dinosaurs spot us. So Cara says she's gonna swing from this tree to the next, I told her it wasn't a good plan but she did it anyway. The vine broke and she's like standing there, asking to get eaten. I barely got away while they were eating her." Julia explained what happened in her absence.

"Cara's dead?" Samantha asked again.

"I'm sorry. There was really nothing I could do." Julia hugged her mourning friend. The three stood in silence for a while when Jackson spoke up,
"If we're gonna stay the night let's get up in this tree."

As soon as Jackson saw light the next morning he was ready to move, Samantha and Julia were not as eager.

"Look, I can smell the ocean. The sooner we get to the beach the safer we'll be. Who knows we might find everyone else." Jackson argued.

"Remember everyone you killed? Your plan wiped out half the group!" Julia said.

"Whatever, I'm going." Jackson jumped down from the tree and started walking. Behind him he heard Julia and Samantha run to catch up. smiling to himself he continued to walk.

Taylor woke up without Tommy by her side and started to feel scared. In the bushes in front of her she heard rustling.
"Megan! Austin!" Taylor nudged the sleeping pair beside her.

"What?" Megan said loudly, but quickly realized the situation they were in. Austin reached over and woke everyone else up.

Taylor stood up and picked up a stick from the fire, ready to attack. The bushes were pushed aside to see Jackson walk through, carrying a gun, behind him Samantha and Julia followed.

"Jackson!!" Megan squealed, running over and hugging all of them.

"Where's everyone else?" Ty asked.

The three looked down at the ground and shook their heads. An awkward silence washed over the group.

Cara walked through the jungle and saw that the mossy floor started to get more sand on it. She quickened her pace, excited to finally get out of the dreadful jungle. As she neared the beach she saw Tommy and K2 jump out of an old looking plane. Cara raised her hand to wave and was about to call out when something hit her on the back of the head.

She rolled over looking for whatever creature did this to her, but before she could identify the attacker a cloth covered her mouth and she felt herself becoming drowsy. Cara struggled, reaching for something to help her. She felt a branch and tried to lift it up hut she was too weak. Cara's arm fell to the ground and her eye's started to shut. She blinked her eyes open one last time to see an unfamiliar face glaring down at her, and then Cara was out.

K2 woke up the next morning by Tommy climbing over her to get out of the plane. She rolled over and tried to get a couple more precious minutes of sleep in.

"Come on, we should get back before everyone else wakes up." Tommy said, pulling K2 out of the pilots seat. As they stretched out they heard a thud from in the jungle, and then a dragging noise.

"We should hurry." Tommy said, scared as hell.

K2 nodded (scared as hell also but not as scared as hell) and the two took off down the beach towards their original camp.

As they made their way over they saw that everyone was awake already and that a particular red-head looked a little mad at a certain someone.

"Oooh! Tommy's in trouble!" K2 mocked as Taylor came storming over towards them.
