Unfortunately for Tommy, he got stuck with the only two people on the plane that would run towards screaming. Probably the only two people in the universe that would.
Tommy bursted through the clearing, bumping into Sydney. Tommy looked up to see Austin in a tree lowering Faith down to Taylor.
"Taylor?" Tommy called out running over to help her hold Faith. He picked her up under her arms.
"Oh- What is that!" Tommy said, dropping Faith after feeling something wet touch him.
"Tommy! She's hurt you idiot!" Taylor yelled at him, trying to hold Faith's body up.
Austin jumped down from the tree and took Faith from Taylor. He started walking the direction he found Taylor in, careful not to shake Faith too much. Sydney and Ty following close behind to help their injured friend.
"Taylor? Are you okay?" Tommy looked over at Taylor.
"You stupid, stupid boy!" Taylor scolded, hitting Tommy.
"You dropped her, Faith is over here bleeding out and you drop her!"
"I didn't know!" Tommy said, pulling Taylor along after Austin.
"If she dies it's your fault."
"It's nice to see you too, Taylor."
"I'm so sorry Megan!" K2 sobbed laying by Megan's side.
"I was never nice to you, I should have let you sit by me on the plane. All i've known you I was always making fun of you. I'm so sorry-"
Megan sat straight up coughing hella water out of her mouth. K2 quickly scooted away,(probably afraid of zombieism!) staring at her formally dead friend.
"Oh what the fuck!" Megan said, after coughing up about a gallon of ocean water.
"Megan?" K2 asked, sniffling.
"Where the fuck am I? K2? Did you drug me?"
"Do you honestly not remember?"
"We crashed the plane, right?"
"I dunno about we, but you were the one that was jumping around when the plane crashed."
"I almost died! You always blame me for everything- Wait, were you crying?" Megan moved closer towards K2 to get a better look at her puffy face.
"No- Shut up, I thought you were dead!" K2 said, standing up.
The two girls looked around at their surroundings, not knowing what to do next.
"Well I don't want to speak for both of us but-"
"I don't want to go in the jungle." Megan cut her off.
"Yeah." K2 agreed, scratching her head.
"Okay, I didn't notice it before but Faith is really heavy." Austin panted.
"Give her here!" Sydney ordered, taking her best friend from Austin's arms. She adjusted her grip and started to run towards the beach. Leaving Austin to catch his breath alone.
It didn't take long for Ty, Tommy and Taylor to catch up to Austin (and although it took Tommy a little more convincing) they ran after Sydney as well, leaving him alone. Austin sat down on a log and looked down at his bloody hands, he reached over for a leaf to wipe off his hands with when he heard rustling in the brush behind him.
Austin quickly jumped away, looking for whatever made the sound. A crack came from behind him and he spun around. Soon he could hear steps all around him and he picked up a stick, ready to attack what came through the bushes. The noise got louder and louder then stopped in the bushes in front of him. It was eerily quiet, the only thing that could be heard was Austin's heavy breathing.
A screeching noise came from the bushes, jumping out at Austin. He swung the branch, making contact with whatever tried to attack him. He saw the creature's sharp teeth snap and try to bite his arm. It ran at him again, but this time Austin kicked it as hard as he could, knocking the feathered creature smack into a tree.
Austin didn't wait around too see if it was still alive, clutching his stick close to him he ran off towards the beach.
"You know maybe Ms. Hicks knew this would happen. That's why she said no to us about science club." Megan said.
"I swear to God if you talk about Ms.Hicks one more time I'm going to kill you!" K2 growled.
"No, you wouldn't. You would cry again. Remember when you cried because you thought I was dead." Megan smiled, walking ahead.
"That's before I knew you were going to talk about Ms.Hicks the whole time. You're never going to see her again! We're going to die here!" K2 yelled up to Megan.
That seemed to shut her up. The two walked in silence towards the smoke in the distance.
