Qrow POV
Ozpin and I had been called by Ironwood. Apparently he had some sort of weapon that he wanted to show us. I was personally curious to see what little toy that old jerk came up with. Ozpin came, as he was curious at what the strategy behind the weapon was, and why it was so urgent that it be kept a secret. When we arrived however, both our mouths dropped. The base was in shambles, unconscious soldiers and scientists were everywhere. It was if the whole place had been steamrolled. I looked at Ozpin only to see him look at Ironwood, or what was left of him. His prosthetics had been ripped out and his gun was smashed. He was backing away from something covered in darkness. Not wanting him to die, I quickly stepped in and saw the creature face to face.
Except it wasn't a creature, it was a kid. He had black hair and piercing red eyes, definitely unnatural. He was growling as I saw literal darkness emanating from him. Even Ozpin seemed wary, as if he knew this was dangerous.
"Hey kid, got a name?"
"Grrrrrrrrrr"
Ironwood, clearly in pain spoke to me,
"Qrow, that is no ordinary child. That is y/n l/n. He is the experimental weapon I told you about. We merged him with a new type of dust, except he has grown too dangerous"
"You mean to tell me that you took a kid and turned him into that"
"I was acting in the best intentions for Remnant!"
Welp, I thought. He's just a kid.I can't just kill him, and Ozpin seems interested in him. He seems a little younger than Ruby, probably by a year. But right now he seems a little too dangerous. Maybe I can reason with him.
"Hey uhh, y/n"
As soon as I said his name, he almost calmed down a bit, but when he saw Ironwood he got his murderous look back. He leapt at him, and I have to admit, he was as fast as Ruby's semblance. I blocked his punch with my sword. Boy is that kid strong, he could probably take out an unexperienced huntsman in one hit. I turned over and asked Ironwood
"Hey Ironwood, what did you do to him."
"We started by injecting him with large amounts of what we call "Dark Dust". However that wasn't working, so in order to get results we had to torture him. He finally gained powers when we made him think we killed his parents in front of him."
"Are you kidding me, no wonder he wants you dead, hell if it were me, I would kill you!"
I then looked at y/n and felt sorry for him. If it went like that, I doubt he or his parents gave Ironwood any consent.
"Hey kid, I know it hurts. I know what it feels like to lose someone close to you."
He then look at me, calming down. Seems he can understand me.
"Me and Ozpin over there can help you. We can't give you your old life back, but maybe we could give you a better one."
The darkness around him started to fade, his eyes started to switch between a red and (eye color) color. I knew I was getting through to him.
"We won't let Ironwood keep experimenting on you, and we can take you to a place where you can learn to control this. Maybe, you could even see your parents again one day."
Y/n then fell over into the ground and turned back to normal. He started sobbing, clearly feeling guilty over the destruction he just caused. This continued for around a minute before Ozpin broke the awkwardness of watching a teenager cry by saying
"I am willing to give you the position of a student at Beacon academy. It is clear that if your power is put into the right hands, you can do great things. You can make new friendships, and let this event help you, by giving you the ability to bring change to the world."
"R-r-really?"
"Yes"
And with that, y/n smiled before fainting.
Time skip
Your POV
I was currently on a bulkhead going to Beacon. Honestly I never thought I would actually train to be a huntsman. After what happened, Ironwood tried to convince Ozpin that I should stay at the lab for further testing and experimentation, as I was too dangerous to let loose in a school enviornment. Ozpin wouldn't hear it, and guaranteed I wouldn't have to put up with that again. I would start at Beacon a day after everyone else and would have to go through the initiation on my own. I had learned how to keep most of the darkness at bay. I had gained super strength speed and stamina, however Ironwood stated that the dust gave me more abilities that no one knows about, and that they will possibly be unlocked over time, possibly related to the darkness that was emanating from me earlier. I only remember charging at Ironwood, and Qrow snapping me out of whatever trance I was in. Honestly the fact that I am now capable of leveling a military base with ease scares me.

As we got off the bullhead, a woman with blonde hair, glasses, and a whip approaches us.
"Ozpin, who is this child?"
"Consider him a late entry. Tomorrow, he will go through the initiation, and will bunk with one of the existing teams here"
"Very well then."
Ozpin gave me a tour of the building. I had thanked him for this around 30 times, and he simply said he was glad about meeting someone like me. He showed me to a temporary room, where I would stay, until he could find a team he thinks I could work well with. I lay in bed, and was wondering about what tomorrow would bring. Hopefully it will be a nice turn of events after all that's happened. I put all my negative thoughts aside and drifted off to sleep.
