A/N: Two parts in one month, let's do this!

Y/N: Soooo... wanna tell me what happened here? For example, why are you holding  that guy's arm?

Sapphire: Fine, it's time I tell you the real reason I wanted to leave Atlas...

Flashback Sapphire POV:

It's been two months since I was born... more like created.

Ironwood got straight to the point after the second day, due to me having the proper amount of sentience despite being *flawed*.

All this began because he needed a weapon. Things weren't too bad, until the experiments began. I am currently the only documentation of something with three semblances at once, all thanks to some genetic modification. According to Ironwood they wanted a more battle-ready version of someone called Ruby Rose that would be ready to be deployed for combat operations.

To help with this, I am already slightly stronger and more durable than Ruby, but it came at a cost. Since I was artificially created, I had no aura. No aura meant no semblance. As a result it would have been back to the drawing board, at least that's what would have happened had Ironwood not have had a 'brilliant' idea. Aura manipulation. They managed to create artificial aura after some experimentation.

Using this they managed to create several mock-semblances, yet they were just as powerful as the real thing. First things first, they managed to recreate Ruby's speed, but it's by far the most draining as it was their first attempt. Then, they decided to give me mind reading for whatever reason. Finally, the last one they were able to create was absolute hydrokinesis, making me capable of controlling all water molecules. Unfortunately much like the speed it was quite draining, and since the Aura is artificial it takes longer to recover than normal. I also couldn't use more than one semblance at a time, or I risk seriously damaging myself and unable to use any aura or semblance for at least a day. With some training I was capable of partially sealing the semblances, this way I could always have some reserve power for when I needed it, even if got burnt out pretty easily.

I was a weapon.

It was my sole purpose, Ironwood made that abundantly clear, the research staff made that abundantly clear, and the guards took pleasure in notifying me that I would never be a true human.

All except for one.

She never thought of me as something lesser. She never feared me for my powers or destructive potential. She was the first person I could say that I didn't hate.

Her name was Jade, her most prominent features were her green hair and eyes. My blue highlights are also how she gave me my name, Sapphire.

Ever since the day we met, I've always thought of her as a sister. Of course the fact that she sympathized with a biological monstrosity made her a target of criticism amongst her peers. We were both clearly hated, and we both clearly wanted lives outside of Atlas. I wanted to be free and be my own person, where I could just live on my own with her. She wanted to live peacefully and was tired of having to fight. We had a plan on how to escape.

We found out that Ironwood had another weapon project in a different base. We planned his absence as a way to help our escape, as he was the only person we knew who could stop us. Unfortunately, what we didn't know was that Ironwood left behind someone to make sure that everything went smoothly. That's where stumpy comes in-

*Flashback Interruption*

Frost: Stumpy?!

Sapphire: In all honesty, the only thing keeping me from tearing the rest of you into little slivers of flesh and blowing them all up into nothing is an accented pacifistic voice in my head. Don't give me a reason to give in right now...
