Chapter 22

" MARIANA! I missed you!" I say excitedly running up to her. She laughs and hugs me tightly. I giggle and let her go. Chase comes into the living room then.

" Mari!" He says happily hugging her.

" Little cousins! I missed you two," Mariana says giving us one last hug. Mariana is three years older than us. She is in her first year of college, she is studying to be a fashion designer. I never let her touch me unless I need her to.

" We missed you too. Let's go see if our brothers are here," I say pulling her into the kitchen. Jay and Connor are there with Cam, Cain, and Adam.

" MARIANA!" My brothers shout coming towards her. They all give her a hug.

" Wow you guys grew. You make me seem old," Mariana says flicking her hair over her shoulder.

" You're not that old," Dad scolds her coming into the kitchen.

" Excuse me? Uncle Keith she's three years older than us four," Jay says getting up and pointing at the four of us who are sophomores.

" True," I say.

" Whatever. Your four sophomores go to one of the twin's rooms," Dad says pointing at the stairs. We shrug and head up to Chase's room.

" Who is uncle Keith?" Connor asks flopping down in the floor.

" Our dad," Me and Chase state.

" Why does Jay call him Uncle Keith?"

" Because I'm basically family here," Jay says looking down at his game.

" We have a game tomorrow, I'm gonna die!" I declare putting my head in Jay's lap. He rolls his eyes.

" Babe, you're one of the best ones in the team. You aren't gonna die," Jay says looking down at me. I shrug. I take out my phone and click on instagram. I scroll through my feed.

" Wait wait stop. Go back," Jay says looking at my phone. I go back and it's a post by Connor. It's a picture of him and Chase. I snort. I click to comment.

Jay snorts. He grins at me and lays down.

" Really Alex?" Connor asks.

" Now what did I do?" I ask. He gives me a look. I give him a innocent look.

" You my dear are the best," Mariana says coming into Chase's room. I grin at her.

"Don't I know it," I say grinning. Jay smacks my shoulder.

" Jay!" I whine. He just kisses my cheek in response.

" You two are so cute. Are you guys dating yet?" Mariana asks. Me and Jay groan.

" Not again. To answer your question cousin, no we are not dating," I say pulling him so he sits down. He hugs me to him.

"Jay let go," I say wiggling around.

"No, you are staying here. I don't care if you want to go with Mariana, you're staying with me," Jay says tightening his grip on me. I shrug and relax in his arms.

" That's more like it," Jay says.

"Someone put some music on," I say. Chase plugs in my phone and turns on the weekly playlist.

" Oh I love this song!" I shout. It's Superheroes by The Script, my favorite song.

" I know you do. It's your ringtone on my phone," Jay says lifting me up and sitting me on his lap.
