Chapter 16

I wake up to elephants stomping inside my head. I groan. Hangovers suck. I move in the bed. I suddenly feel a sudden wave of nausea. I get up and sprint to the bathroom. Jay being the perfect best friend held my hair back while I puked my guts out. I finished and headed to the bed. Jay hands me water and a Advil. I smile at him and drown that damn pill. I groan and lay back down.

“ my poor baby. Are you okay?” Jay asks me pulling me up. I shake my head.

“ Too bad remember we are all going out today?” I groan. Family day. First one without mom. It better include food. It's only 10 am. I pull out my phone and text my dad.

Head Parker ( dad)

Alex: Can we meet you guys at IHOP for breakfast?

Dad: Sure. Meet you there in 15? Your clothes is next to you by the way.

Alex: Thanks dad. And yeah we'll be there.

“ we have 15 minutes! Give me my clothes and I’ll take a quick shower.” I say holding my hand out. He passes and my clothes for the day. Thankfully the clothes are just how I like them. Shorts and a t-shirt. I keep a spare pair of shoes here so I take those out along with some socks and head to the bathroom. I take a quick shower and change quick. I walk out of the bathroom brushing my hair.

“ You ready Kenz?” Jay asks. I nod tying my hair back. I pull on my shoes and head out. I go to the door and walk out to the car. I get a message from Chase.

Chase: How are you up this morning? I feel like I could collapse!

Alex: It's called Advil brother dear. And hurry up we are meeting in IHOP in 10.

Chase: yeah yeah I'm almost ready.

I smile and get into the car. Jay gets in after me.

“ You look like a mess.” Jay says looking over at me. I glare at him.

“ Gee you are such a good friend. Oh well shut up.” I say. We get to IHOP soon enough. I get out and head to a table. My dad, Adam, Cam, and Cain come in after us. Now we are just waiting for Chase. He comes in a few minutes later running. I laugh and wave him over. He sits down.

“ Hi I’m Mallory and I'm your waiter for today. What can I get you to drink?” A girl around our age comes up to us. Dad looks at us. We nod.

“ We’ll have five coffees, one milk and a hot chocolate.” Dad says. Mallory looks at us. We nod and she heads off.

“ How was the party?” Dad asks. I give him a thumbs up. Chase just gives him a smile while Adam and Cain tell him everything. Jay looks at me and I smile.

“ Okay what do you guys want to eat?” Mallory says coming back setting down our drinks.  We all order pancakes. She nods and heads off.

“ Okay guys what do you what to do today?” Dad asks.

“ Bowling!” I say. Dad looks at everyone else. They shrug being okay with it.

“ Bowling it is. After breakfast we’ll go.” Dad says. We nod. Mallory comes back with our pancakes a few minutes later. We thank her and dig in. To say that I was hungry is an understatement. I was starving. Those pancakes were really good. We all finish eating in probably a half hour. Dad pays and we head out to bowl. Chase comes in the car with us.

“ Hey sis how drunk were we last night?” Chase asks from the backseat. Jay snorts. I look at him weird before looking at Chase.

“ I don't know Ace. Ask Jay.” I say.
