"Yes! Looks like I win again! Woo!" Rolo cheered, throwing the controller at the floor and doing a dance that meant he had claimed his victory.

"No fair, Rolo! You always cheat! Tell him, Thace!" Nyma said with annoyance, her view turning towards the tall Galra who sat in a cozy chair, who of which seemed uninterested as he read about the adventures of a fictional space pilot.

"I would rather not contribute to this disagreement, Nyma." Thace said simply, not taking his eyes off the book as he turned to the next page. "If you want my opinion, I think it would be better if you and Rolo solved this argument like adults."

"Like he ever listens." Nyma muttered, rolling her eyes and making her way towards the door of the leisure suite. "I'm gonna go see if Tel needs any help with the controls."

"Either this is down to luck or they're planning something. Zarkon's as good as dead when I find him, i'll slash that little fucker's throat for what he's done."

Telenum, (or Princess Telenum of Rhilem to go by her full title) typed a series of words on a holographic keypad, getting a clear view of the perimeter as she checked for anything out of the ordinary. So far, there was nothing, and the princess couldn't help but feel somewhat relieved at the fact there would seemingly be no kind of attack.

"Hey, Tel. You need any help?"

Telenum took her eyes off the screen and swiveled around in her seat, smiling when she saw her best girl friend standing in the doorway. Being a freedom fighter was hard work, but at least she had the benefit of having someone she could relate to.

"Everything looks good right now, Nym." she answered, sensing that Nyma was ticked off about something. "Let me guess, was Rolo cheating at that game again? He can be a total ass sometimes."

"Tell me about it, girl." Nyma said with a sigh, joining Telenum's side. "I suppose you kinda get used to him after a while. He's not a bad guy, really. He's...how do I put it?"

"He just makes the wrong choices." the teenager spoke, a comforting expression on her face. "What you've done in the past is behind you now, you're better people and you're willing to do what's right. That's why I gave you, all of you, a second chance."

"And i'm grateful for that, really, I am." Nyma smiled, wrapping her arms around the young leader, bringing her into a sideways hug. "We're grateful for everything you do for us, Tel. If it weren't for you and Thace, Rolo and I would be dead. It's thanks to you two that we're here right now."

Telenum hummed contentedly, an act of love from a friend was just what she needed. A memory of hers tore at her mind, causing her to tear up. Her skin tingled unpleasantly, the feel of past kisses teased her slender neck and the debris of fingers tracing across her cheek was something she hated to remember. A hitched breath escaped her, and Nyma pulled away, concerned.

"Tel? Hey, what's wrong?"

Telenum sniffled a bit, wiping her eyes.

"Oh, it's nothing. Don't worry about me, i'm fine. I'm just missing my parents, that's all."

"I know all too well how that feels, princess." Nyma said sympathetically. "But, we've got each other. I'll always be here for you, okay?"

"Thanks, Nym." Telenum said, feeling a little better.

"Anytime, Tel."

Nyma brought Telenum into another hug, feeling more and more sorry for the poor princess. It was understandable why she missed her parents, they were miles away, and she was practically in the middle of nowhere with only three comrades to keep her company and get her through the days that passed.

"I should continue with the perimeter check, you never know what could be out there- wait, what's that? Or should I say, who's that?"

Telenum got to work, typing something up. The screen zoomed in, focusing on a stumbling adult male. She couldn't make out much other than the fact he looked older than her, but somehow he seemed a lot younger than the age she assumed he was.

"Who the Hell- God..." Nyma fell silent, her fingertips touching her lips lightly, and her hand shaking. "Oh my God! I know who he is! I've gotta...i've gotta tell Rolo!"

"I'm right here. What the Hell's going on? Has someone breached the perimeter!?"

Rolo and Thace came rushing in, the sound of alarms had called them to their duty, and they went to check out what was happening.

"It's not that, just look!" Nyma said, pointing to the screen. Rolo and Thace leaned in, getting a closer look; a quiet gasp passed the two of them.

"Oh shit! Come on, you guys!"

When the four reached the grounds of the unnamed planet they were inhabiting, they quickly went to aid the injured 'trespasser'. Thace stopped him from falling, his eyes taking notice of a scar that went across the bridge of his nose.

The Galra...they've done this to him. Those rotten, good for nothing beings. They will pay for this.

"No way...i-it can't be..." Rolo stuttered, unable to believe the site that was before him. "S-Shiro?"

Shiro groaned in response, unable to speak because of the pain that ran throughout his body.

"It is best not to talk, child." Thace advised, checking for any severe wounds and noting the man's uniform. "We must get him to the infirmary immediately. Nyma, please prepare a needle and thread in case there are injuries I will have to stitch. I shall bring him inside."

Thace was Telenum's second in command, meaning that he was allowed some authority when it came to certain situations. In the medical field, everyone put their faith in him, crediting his experience as a soldier.

Thace carried Shiro, the male's weight causing some concern. It appeared to him that he hadn't eaten in quite some time, but not to the point where he was at extreme risk. Shiro's face was pale with dehydration and immense hunger, and the Galra instinctively pitied him.

I promise my friends and I will help you, young Paladin. I understand my presence may come as a shock to you once you are fully aware of what is happening, but I swear that I mean you no harm. My life as a slave is over with; I have a new goal in life now.

And that, is to help fix what has been broken.
