Chapter 8

       Sasha’s POV

Finally able to breath without mom hanging over me all the time, I silently thanks Peter in my head for helping me out yesterday at the dinner.

So now I’m ready to meet Chris at his brother’s parlor downtown and I’ve decided to visit Cecile for a couple of days. Just hope mom don’t go into overprotectiv mood again. Then it will be difficult to get away.

I’m a bit unsure about seeing Chris again he makes me feel weird.  I don’t know if it’s a good thing or a bad thing.  So the butterflies in my stomach are worrying me, is it only nerves or do I like him? I’m also nervous about meeting his brother, because if he recognize the artist I may get some answers and with all the time that has gone bye I’m not so sure about wanting to know about my past or not. I know in my heart that the Harrington’s will always regard me as their daughter and to Peter I’ll always be his sister, but will knowledge change me as a person to the better or worse. I can’t help but wonder. So it’s with mixed emotions I drive my car downtown to meet up with them.

I’m lucky and find a parking space right outside the tattoo parlor. I spot Chris waiting for me outside. I can’t help but think he’s sure good looking. He has this way about him that will make most women take a second or even a third look. He comes over to me when he sees me get out of my car.

“Nice to see you again Sasha” He greets me as he wraps his arms around me and gives me a hug. I feel my stomach does a little flip as I return the hug.

“Nice to see you too Chris!” I answer as I withdraw myself from the embrace. “Shall we go in and see your brother?” I ask him, because I just want this to be over with.

“Sure, he’s waiting for us” he answers and leads me to the parlor.

“Be careful it’s icy here,” he warns me and locks his arm with mine. That gesture gives him a point as a gentleman in my book.

So we enter the parlor arm in arm and he don’t let go until he gives his brother a man hug. They really do look alike; but his brother is much more muscular and covered in tattoos, he’s wearing a ripped up jeans and a sleeveless black t-shirt that shows of his tattoos and his bulging arm muscles, I also think I see shadows of piercings underneath his t-shirt. His light brown hair is cut in a modern style, neatly trimmed down to a minimum on the sides and in the back but kept long and untamed on the top. I’m openly gawking at the man before me. His apparent is intimidating.

He gives me a big smile and assures me that his look is just a side effect of his type of work. I really don’t know what to answer to that, but I desperately try to stop staring at him.

“Hi, bro this is Sasha and Sasha please meet my little brother John” Chris saves me by introducing us.

“Hi, John!” I greet him and hold out my hand for him to shake, but in my head I’m thinking it’s nothing with this man that is synonym to the word little.

“Wow, hold on a sec I thought you were just one of Chris many conquests, but you’re the girl with the tattoo he wanted me to look at?” John questions us as he shakes my hand.

“Hi, I’m not a player!” Chris retort back and gives his brother a light push in the shoulder.

“Yeah, yeah! Just keep on saying that to yourself and maybe it’ll come true one day.” John mumbles, but keeps his attention on me.

“Don’t you ever get the idea of sleeping with this guy,” John point to Chris and continues talking to me “he’ll just break your heart sweetie!” he finish with a wink to me. It’s difficult to know if he’s serious or not.
