Chapter 3

                  Peter’s POV

We head out of Sasha’s room and I follow Edward to his office. When we’re sited in his office I explain what happened at the office earlier today and that Sasha has not been looking good for the last week or so. But in general she has looked happier the last six moths after she finished her college courses and started working full time with my dad and me. He wondered if there had been any changes in Sasha’s life recently, it could be small stuff that was not as normal?

“No, nothing I can think of, only that she has been working more otherwise she has been training with us guys as normal, had a few dates that led to nothing like usual. So the only thing I can put together is that when the work load got heavier she started to look tiered,” I answer him and try my best to resource my brain for any more information about Sasha’s life the last week or so.

Edward looks thoughtful for a moment before he continues with “What is she working on, is it the normal arrangement with business contracts? Or has she gotten more responsibly?”

I feel the blood drains from my face, as the image gets clear for me. My dad and I should have sheltered her, this case we have now is noting near the normal ones that just has do with business deals between companies. Since dad has a law firm that specializes in business law.

“Hi! Peter are you here with me, what is it?” Edward demands to know.

“I feel so stupid, I should have known, I’m an as hole of a brother, it’s my fault, I didn’t think, I’m the one that need my useless brain checked, oh maybe not the ting to tell a brain specialist, but seriously I’m all to blame…” I ramble on…

“PETER!” Edwards shouts, “Would you care to explain what you’re talking about instead of beating your self up over it?” Edward looks at me with concern.

I cover my face in my hands before brushing them thru my hair and scratching my neck. I breathe in and out a couple of times before I start to explain:

“The case Sasha has been helping with is nothing like the ordinary, a family with major companies abroad that we’ve done a lot of business orientated matters for before, has pleaded us for help to take a totally different matter a hand. Help them find suitable lawyers and have an overall vie of the problems that this family is facing here. They live in Oman and are therefore not acknowledged with which other law firm to contact here and they trust us” I rush out, really not wanting to address the sores of it.

“Cut the bullshit Peter, you know you can tell me everything and I’ll classify it under patient confidentiality. I don’t even have to write it down, I just need to know what has pushed Sasha over the edge.” Edward pushes me to spill the beans.

I yield and know I can trust him with this. “Do you want the long version or the summary?” I ask him feeling defeated.

“The more I know the better, so I’ll take the long version please.” He answers me and takes a more comfortable position in his leather chair.

So I started to tell Edward about the case: “This goes way back and are a feud between two families. Mr. Taylor Adams had an argument with his family when he was about 16 years of age that resulted in him taking of to sea as a crew-member on a boat that sailed intercontinental.

He returned back around 4 years later, but did not reconsolidate with his family. He wanted to work with shipping and his family wanted him back home and help with their hardware shops that was doing good and developing into several high profit stores for them. Since he refused he was taken out of the testament and his younger brother Mr. Christopher Adams inherited it all.
