Chapter 15

              Sasha’s POV

My birthday had been so fun; John and Peter were so sweet together. They made sure to get me hammered and I managed to borrow John for a hot and steamy dance session too. I guess we got a bit to carried away, but we had a blast. All my guest had send me text or called me the following days thanking me for a good time. So I guess it had been a success. And my hangover the next day made Peter and John laughs their heads of when I greeted them the next morning looking like a ghost and feeling like shit with a stomach that twisted and turned when I smelled the big breakfast they where cocking. How I survived my birthday dinner at mom and dad’s place later I have no idea, how I manage to pull it together with my head pounding and my stomach still complaining after all the gagging I had been thru.

But Chris disappeared sometime during that night without saying good-bye and that bugged me a little. And I hadn’t heard form him at all lately, but it felt uncomfortable for me to contact him at this point. It actually bugs me a lot, because he normally called, sent me text or in some way tried to communicate with me regularly since I had met him. But the last days noting, nada, zero. But John seemed like normal and I guess John had told me if something was wrong with Chris.

Work had started up again and it’s nice to be back full time. I’m a little irritated at Peter because he has forbidden me to touch the Bashir case; we actually had a fall out about it. I don’t understand why I can’t help out with this case, because it seems like they need an extra pair of hands on it. Normally I don’t let my temper get to me, but now I feel not wanted at all and it makes me want to scream. The first trail is up in about two weeks time.

I’m on my way to the gym to blow of some steam, need to punch that boxing bag so I don’t start hitting random people on my way. Why does Peter suddenly treat me like a kid?

My phone rings and interrupts my raging thoughts. “Yeah” I answer angrily without even looking at the caller id. “Wow, girl what’s up? Is that a way to answer your favorite friend?” Aurora energetic voice answers me on the other end.

“Sorry, about that! Didn’t mean to sound rude, just so angry with Peter right now.” I explain to her apologetic.

“It’s cool, but I’ve fabulous news to you, I know this will cheer you up. But I need you to come down to the mall right now. I’ll be waiting for you at the coffee bar.” Aurora cheerfully tells me.

“I need to go to the gym and blow of some steam, can I met up with you in an hour or so?” I ask her.

“No, you get your ass down here right now! I’m positive this will make your day, so please, please agree to come?” Aurora pleads with me and I reluctantly give in to her pleading request.

When I arrive at the mall Aurora is bouncing up and down and look so ridiculously happy that I’ve to smile at her attitude.

“So what’s going on?” I probe her, getting nosy because of her extremely cheerful behavior.

“I’ve found it!” She happily smiles at me and takes my hand and starts to drag me thru the mall. I look weird at her when she pulls me in to an old ladies clothing store. “What are we doing here?” I ask her suspiciously and look worriedly at all the hideous cloths hanging from the racks.

She just shakes her head and drags me further into the store all the way into the back where the changing rooms are. “You’re going in there and I’ll bring you something you’ve to try on asp!” She demands and pushes me thru the brown curtain and into a small booth. All is brown in here; even the mirror is tinted brown. Reluctantly I start to remove my winter coat, the suit jacket, skirt and blouse I use for work and hope that Aurora is back soon, because I can’t stand to be in this booth for to long.
