I woke up around 11 in the morning because it was a weekend. I rushed into the toilet and had a quick shower. I was almost done when my mum came into my rooms and she started opening the wardrobes bringing out my clothes. Thats one thing with my mum. She is squeaky clean to the extent my dad teases her about it  when she starts cleaning "Nana am kin fara ko. Kiyi a hankali dai kar ki hada da mu ki tattara ko ki share" we all laugh about it with my siblings and dad then my mum would get upset but Dad always has his own ways of calming her down. My mum has always been the strict type and everyone around her is scared of getting on her bad side. I respect the love she shares with my dad. He always knows what to say to her to make her feel better. They are first cousins and they had an arranged marriage which turned into a beautiful love story. "Nana am" as my dad calls her and on serious days he calls her with her name "Asmau". My Dad is a very religious man who was loved by everyone around him. He has a kind heart and a giving one at that. My dad is the type that makes friends with the man that comes every weekend to give him a pedicure and manicure, the local Mallam in our area , the imam and the rest. We live in kano but we are from Adamawa state.

Talking about my siblings I have three brothers and two sisters making us all six. Adda zainab or Adda zee like we call her is the first child followed by Muhammad then Me followed by our twins Ameer and ameera then our last born Hassanu who is our mum's favourite because he was named after her father. Adda zainab has been married for three years but has no kid yet. Muhammad is an architect. I am now in ss3 and starting my final exams in a few months. Our twins are in jss1 and our last born is now in nursery. "Aisha dume a numata" what are you thinking of my mum asked snapping her fingers right in my face.. "Nothing I was just thinking of how much i am going to miss you when I go to college " .. My mum didnt even look at me then she said " wala ha a yahata sam! Ba inda zakije kina nan da ni kar ma ki zata zakije wani wajen. Iyakan ki BUK. I am not taking chances. Haka yar gidan goggo Fadu taje ta lalace. Better remove that though out of your small head"
"Haba mummy! Why would you say that" I said in a sad tone
"I have said my own. Now get up and finish putting this clothes back neatly the way you see me doing it. I am coming back to check it" she said leaving the room.

"daddy jam bandu na" I greeted my dad who was sitting in his parlour with his newspaper in his hand.
"Jam ni aishatu. Are you just waking up?" He asked me I opened my mouth to answer him when my mum cut in "yes she just woke up. I dont know how to handle her. She sleeps late chatting on her phone and then wont wake up late. I will seize the phone if you are not careful " I just looked at my dad with pleading eyes asking him to say something. " haba nana am I can see you are in a bad mood today. Please dint vent your anger on this children it would be better if you would tell us all who wronged you then we would all apologize." He replied her
" I am not angry and that reminds me better tell her she is not going anywhere for university she is staying her with me.. Mallam Idi can take her to school everyday I am not taking any chances. Just because her sister studied abroad doesnt mean she will too. You are two different people. Kan ta ya cika rawa"

" wow that was fast I said to myself. I can see today is a bad day"
"I am sorry mummy yafam" I said and left the parlour

I was feeling hungry because i havent had breakfast yet but what happened made me lose my appetite.

"Adda Aisha jam bandu na" the twins
greeted me as I walked past them "jam ni" i jst answered and went back to my room.

"Adda Aisha"! "Adda Aisha"!!! I heard my brother's tiny voice.. I opened my eyes and saw him smilin at me. I quickly pulled him to me and kissed his cheek.. He was soo cute and has this fluffy cheeks. He used his hands and wiped the kiss I just laughed because I know he hated it so much but I always enjoy doing it.
"What is it?" I asked him
Daddy said you should take me to the mall!! He said happily... Urgh seriously this boy!! Its 2 in the afternoon the sun is burning out there cant you just wait I said to myself

"Okay I am coming" I answered him and he left the room.
I stood up and got ready! I just put my abaya and grabbed a veil and headed out.. I went back because i forgot my phone.. I took it and put it in my pocket.. I took a glance at my face in the mirror.. I had a typical fulani face. I looked just like my Mum she is a pretty fulani woman just a little chubbier than I was. We all looked like her except for Muhammad who looked like daddy.
I went to daddy's room
