Thomas couldn't help but smile when he went home on Friday night with Newt at his side. This had been a great week. Thomas hadn't felt this good in a long time and Newt was the reason. They were both aware of the disgusted looks they got whenever they kissed or held hands in the hallways but they didn't care. No one would even dare to say something about cause...It was Thomas.

Newt was talking excitedly about a new assignment as Thomas pulled his car into his drive way. He smiled fondly at Newt. The boy was adorable when he was excited about something. Thomas opened the door and immediately knew something was different. He narrowed his eyes slightly as he walked in.

"Thomas, is that you ?" a low voice called from the living room. He stiffened and looked back outside, a car was standing in the drive way and Thomas wondered how he didn't see it earlier. His parents were here. on a Friday.

Thomas could feel Newt's hand slip in his and hastily jerked his hand away. The blonde looked shocked at his reaction and he could see a flash of hurt in his eyes. He wanted to kiss that look away but remained silent as he heard footsteps down the hall.

A man appeared with dark blonde hair in a neat costume. "Hi son, how are you ?"

"fine. What are you doing home ?"

"Well Thomas I hoped you would be a little nicer, we didn't have any work this weekend and wanted to spend time with you." The man said, a dangerous tone in his voice. Thomas saw Newt take a step back in the corner of his eye.

"Who's this, son?" The man narrowed his eyes at Newt and looked him up and down.

"This is just a friend from school, we're working on an assignment."

"A friend ? Well That's a surprise. How did you get him to talk, kid ?" The man said, turning his attention to Newt. The blonde just stared, something was wrong.

"I asked you something, kid. Or are you as disgusting as my son here, f-"

"Don't!" Thomas raised his voice, making Newt flinch. "Don't you dare talk to him like that."

"What did you say ?"

"I'm sick of you! you disgust me! You can talk crap to me and do whatever you want but Don't you da-" Thomas was cut off with a punch in the face. Newt gasped and stepped back. Hating how he didn't do anything as the man pushed Thomas against the wall. Newt could see the boy he loved flinch and that familiar look of fear filled the brunette's eyes.

"Show some respect, Thomas!" his father growled before shoving his son towards Newt and turning to walk away. Newt could just catch him before he stumbled to the ground but Thomas flinched at his touch.

"Shh,Tommy it's fine, it's just me." He wanted to pull him in a hug but Thomas backed away.

"J-just go Newt."

"Tommy...no, don't. I'm here for you, don't send me away."

Thomas snapped and pushed Newt against the wall.

"Just go! I don't need you to be here for me, I know how to deal with this!"

"Stop shutting me out! I care about you Thomas, but whenever I get too close to your personal life you shut me out! You bring up your walls and masks and pretend like you don't even know me! I want to be here for you, but you need to trust me." I love you Newt added mentally.

"I said, leave!" Thomas growled before pushing him  out of the door and slamming it shut behind him. A tear escaped Newt's eyes as he took out his phone and called Minho.
