Nico di Angelo's Story

~Four~ Party to Remember

(Jason's  POV)
      Percy opened the door and silence fell over the room. On the other side of the door stood Nico di Angelo with a faint I'm sorry smile on his face. Will Solace was standing behind him. Percy's face lit up.

(Nico's POV)
     "Nico! You made it! We thought you'd never show up!" Percy said. I looked around him and saw Grover, Annabeth, Jason, Piper, Hazel, Frank, and Leo. My heart flipped when I saw Leo. I had no clue why. I have a feeling its because he was broken. I could see it in his eyes. He just did well covering it up with corny jokes and puns. I walked in.
     "Yea, I made it. Sorry I ruined your..." I heard the music, "Is that Centuries by Fall Out Boy?" A smile tugged at my lips. Percy nodded. He was bringing out the cake, which for some reason, wasn't blue. Everybody else was giggling. I was downright confused.
     "I know the cake isn't blue. I promise it will be next time. This time its black with skulls because I wanted to celebrate Nico di Angelo's Birthday!" Percy saw the look on my face and laughed. I was embarrassed, happy, and so surprised . I had completely forgotten it was my birthday. I blushed.
    "W-why?" I asked Percy. He Went over to the table and grabbed the knife.
    "Because we care Nico. But that's not the best part!" Percy smirked as he cut the cake. I turned red. The inside of the cake was... Rainbow...
    "Dammit Jackson! I swear I-I'll get payback!" My voice faltered. It was the nicest thing anyone had ever done for me. Percy laughed.

 
(Leo's POV)
    I had a huge crush on Nico.  I couldn't help it because I mean, Nico's hair was always a mess, he was broken(I love fixing broken things),and he was always so adorable. Will and I both knew that I had night watch tonight. As Percy embarrassed the crap out of Nico, I found myself tapping love you on my knee in Morse code. Luckily no one else knew Morse code here, otherwise that would have been embarrassing. I began fiddling with metal.
   "L-Leo?" Nico asked. I jumped. I had been so focused on working with the metals, I didn't notice that they had passed out the cake. Nico had chose to sit by me, and Will had left. He was just responsible for bringing Nico. Then he had the choice to go back to the Infirmary so he could work. Will had accepted it gratefully. Now everyone was sitting down eating, and I didn't even have a piece of cake! Then I noticed Nico had two pieces.
   "Hey Neeks, wassup?" I asked shoving the miniature Festus I was working on in my pocket. For some reason it drove him up the wall when someone else called him names, but not when I did.
  "I-I brought you some cake. M-may I sit b-by you?" He asked. He handed me my cake, and I nodded.
  "Yea sure. Anytime. Now, whatcha wanna 'socialize' about?" That was our joke. Hazel always told Nico to socialize. He smirked
   "I don't know... Leo was this necessary?" Nico held up a piece of rainbow cake, and pointed at it. Then he eyed it as if he thought it was a monster that had just exploded. I chuckled.
   "Yes it was. The look on your face was so worth it." I knew that would get him to give me his death glare.

(Nico's POV)
    I gave Leo the death glare, but my heart fluttered. I paled, more than I already was.
   "You guys ready for spin the bottle?!" Percy grabbed the bottle, "Birthday boy goes first!" He handed me the bottle. I sighed, sat it on the table, and spun it. It landed on Leo. A moment of silence later I spoke softly.
   "I- I need to take a walk." I got up and stumbled towards the door. I got out and I ran. I had no clue where I was going, I just knew I had to leave.
