Newt had finished his conclusion to the houses of Hogwarts and it's houses. (Name) had listened closely, taking in every single detail that she could about the place. The large castle, the crazy students and the impossibly miraculous sounding classes. Newt had looked down at (Name) listening to him intently, her face looking of one in complete concentration. Newt smiled softly before (Name) had finally caught his stare and looked up to him. Her eyes looked as if they were filled curiosity and her face showed zero disbelief to what the man had told her.
(Name) stood up and stretched her arms up before walking over to the window that stood near the sofa. She opened the curtain just enough to look outside just before she let go of it, letting the room fill with the dimmed darkness once more. She turned to look at Newt with a suddenly exhausted expression. "Could we head to bed?" She asked before those words were followed with a yawn. Newt had stared at her for a moment rather blankly before clearing his throat and rubbing his neck softly. "Yeah, of course." He said, while standing up and making his way out to his case. He opened it up and waved at the girl, a grin on his lips.
"Good night, (Name)!" Newt called before he had stepped in with his head fading out of sight. He had closed the case behind him without a trace of the tall British male left in sight. (Name) had smiled to herself while she had sighed softly, walking to her room. She let herself fall back against the bed with her eyes trained on the ceiling. It was like everything else that was important was instantly forgotten. It was like she no longer cared about finishing her book about creatures, as if was just some awkward faze.
The girl turned onto her side and closed her eyes, slowly but surely drifting off into the darkness that was known as sleep. Newt, on the other hand, was sitting at his old large black typewriter as he had a concentrated look on his face. He was not longer wearing his dress shirt or vest, he was rather just sitting in some night trousers without a shirt. His fingers were blazing carefully upon the letters as he was finishing the last part to his book: Fantastic Beasts And Where To Find Them. Now, sure his book was already published and a great hit. Newt thought that his personal copy was missing something, though. An entry on the most fantastic creature that he had ever let his eyes fall upon.
A girl named (Name).
A smile turned at the edges of his mouth just as he thought of the way she would have cringed at that crumminess. He turned back to the type writer and rushed to hit the next letter, instead hitting the wrong one. A frown instantly grew on his face. "Damn it." He had muttered, before adding after the mistake: Oops, got a little too excited. He shook his head to himself before continuing on. He continued on like this for hours, not daring not to sleep a wink in a fear that he would not finish this part. He hit the "I". Nothing happened. He hit a few more times, a tad bit rougher. Newt sighed as he rubbed his forehead before running a hand through his messy locks. "Ribbons dead." He mumbled under his breath before standing up and stretching his arms out, all of his scars upon his chest visible.
He had a special bond with his creatures. But, every lion tamer will have his scars. His, in his case, were large ones upon his chest. Newt had winced slightly at the simple thought of the blood that he had lost due to the gashes. Oh, how those were dark times. "Newt, just go to sleep already." He mumbled to himself before forcing himself into the bed and yawning softly. "Nox." Newt had barely managed to say out with a lazy and sloppy wave of his wand. His eyes fell shut with a smile still on his face.
He couldn't be happier.
