Helen POV
Ever since Annabeth left a week ago, the condition of Frederick and I's living condition has gone down hill. The little fourteen-year-old brat ran away once before when she was seven, but she didn't get far before she was turned into the police. But now, it was different. She left for this stupid camp. She was a freak - the daughter of some lousy goddess.
One whole week it has been. The dirty dishes are piling up in the sink, the laundry doesn't appear on the clothes line, not does it fold itself. Who knew that such a minor annoyance in my life could make a huge impact after it vanished? I actually have to sweep the floors myself now!
Don't get me wrong, I'm not a princess, I just extremely dislike having to shake out soggy clothing and leg them to a dirty wire. And I have to make dinner! Dinner! I'm not a servant! I shouldn't be doing this! I try to tell Frederick that things are getting hard around here, but he doesn't seem to care! His mind is focussed on finding Annatrash - why, you ask? I have no idea. It's not like she did anything for us around here, anyway. She broke my favourite vase! Her stupid big head as hard enough to break my vase when I brought it down on her head! I made her clean up the mess that night, scrubbing her own blood off the floor.
And that time she got her nose blood on my plush cream carpet! I didn't even hit her that hard, she faked it! Sometimes after I see her frowning at her school laptop (I didn't want to buy her a freaking laptop, but Frederick said that it was mandatory for school) and her eyes water. Afterwards, she uses the bathroom for a good thirty minutes and comes out in a baggy jacket. I pretend not to see the droplets of blood on the tiles that she forgot - or didn't bother - to clean up. If anything, she's making our house grottier!
One thing that disgusts me is that the twins love her! They always ask her for hell with homework and always want her to play lego with them. I don't want my boys to turn out as freaks just like her! I try to separate them as much as possible, but Frederick is against that idea. Sometimes I don't know what he sees in that brat. Her eyes are ugly and she's always quiet - not that I'm complaining, or anything.
I'd always dreamt of the day that she would move out. I didn't realise that it would come sooner than I thought.

Roughly a year and a half went by before she came back. It was late September when I heard a knock on the front door. I ordered Marissa (the servant I hired) to get the door.
"There is someone here to see you, Mrs. Chase."
I stood as the blonde walked in, a boys hand grasping hers.
She had changed a lot since I'd last seen her. Her hair was longer and her eyes seemed harder, like she'd seen too much. She also had a bandage on her bicep and was dressed in denim shorts and an orange T-shirt. Those stupid beads hung from her neck but there were more now.I'd seen the boy that was next to her before - he came to this house to ask for help because Annabeth went missing. Don't know why he cared, but now it was clear that he and the brat were close. He had dark hair and bright bluey-green eyes. He was kind of handsome for his age - assuming he was 16 like Annatrash. He eyed me skeptically, a daring look in his eyes as if he was saying "you hurt her, and you will pay."
Annabeth glared at my coldly. "I'm here to get my things." She stated distastefully and left to her room without another word, the boy in tow.
Marissa told Frederick that Annabeth was here and he went up to her room to see her.
After a while, Annatrash left after announcing that she will be attending camp year-round and will only be visiting on holidays or in any case of an emergency.
I couldn't be more happy.
Okay, okay. I know that Helen really isn't this terrible, but this is the bad side of her. I will do another chapter with the good side of Helen :)
The picture above is the "approved" version of the characters..... I like the fan art better 😂😂😂
