I found her crying in the floor of my kitchen. Now, coming home from school, you wouldn't expect to see your girlfriend who lives in San Fransisco crying in your kitchen.
She looked up to meet my eyes - hers were dark grey, almost black. They were red from crying and she looked like she needed a hug, so I walked over and sat next to her on the cold tile floor.
She cried into my shirt when I opened my arms, her tears hot on the skin of my neck. "Wise Girl... what are you doing here? Is everything ok?" I rubbed soothing circles into her back and holding her tight. Annabeth took a deep breath and pulled away, more tears falling.
"It's my family... I tried, Percy, I really did. I listened to you and I gave them another chance, but... she thinks I'm a freak, Percy, no matter how many times I've told her that I could judo-flip her in under three seconds. It seems to make things worse. Bobby and Matthew keep wanting me to play tag with them and I want to - I want to be a fun sister... but Helen makes it hard. I just want a normal family." She rambled and I kissed her cheek gingerly.
"Normal families are boring. Besides, what do you think Camp Half-Blood is to you, Annabeth? We are all family and, although we aren't exactly what you'd call normal, we look out for each other because it's in our blood. Helen will realise sooner or later that you're actually the best daughter anyone could want." I slowly picked her up bridal style and carried her to the cupboard in the hallway. Step one to a happy Wise Girl means a warm blanket in winter - it's snowing outside.
Before grabbing my favourite fuzzy blue blanket, I set her on the floor and kiss her crown. I lay the blanket flat on the floor (it covered most of the living room floor - and instructed her to lay in the centre. After successfully making a Wise-Girl-Burrito, I Carrie she'd to the couch where I put Harry Potter on (it's her favourite movie).
Snuggling her close, we watched the movie in each others arms until she stopped crying and fell asleep.
Mission accomplished.

Ugh, don't we all wish we had a significant other like Percy?
I'm thinking of putting other ships into this book. Yes or no?
Thanks for reading, guys. It makes me so happy when I see that I've had positive feedback on my books. New books are coming soon!
Plus, do you like my drawing? It's in the media >> it kind of looks like Annabeth's eyes, so that's why I put it there. Please ignore the crappy eyelashes and eyebrows :/
Peace out, kids!
