I'll do it (Loki x platonic!reader)

A/N: I don't remember where I saw this, or when I read it, but I remember a Loki x reader where he meets the reader at a book store and he likes them because they like shake spears just as much as him. Anyways, this is kinda of an unofficial part 2 of that kinda. I don't remember all the details so I made some of it up.

Summery: the reader is friends with Loki and helps Loki get to the love of his life (I guess. i do't really know how to summarize it)

"Hey Loki, you almost ready to go?" Steve knocks on the Asgardian's bedroom door, his gray hoodie hanging from his waist and a black baseball cap covered his dirty blond hair. It was Thursday, Steve's turn to take Loki out for a few hours of fresh air. Each avenger had an assigned day and, out of all of them, Steve and (Y/N) didn't complain.

Steve waits, only getting silence, and goes to knock again, but before he can, the door flies open and a warm hand pulls Steve in, catching him by surprise. He stumbles, catching himself before he could hit the ground, and looks back to see (Y/N) standing by the, now closed, door.

"Cap, we got a problem." (Y/N) says bluntly, walking over to the bathroom door. Steve frowns, crossing his arms over his chest, following (Y/N) to the door.

"What problem?"

"This problem." (Y/N)'s fist bangs on the door. "Loki! Come out of this bathroom right now!"

"No!" Loki yells back, his nervous voice sounding muffled from behind the door. "What if I mess something up?!"

(Y/N) throws (___) hands up in frustration, turn to Steve for answers. Steve frowns, not knowing what was wrong until it hit him.

" Ooo, I know what going on." Steve chuckles, leaning against the door. (Y/N) raises an eyebrow.

"Please, do share."

" Last Thursday Loki met a girl at a little book store, who apparently like the same books as him. I let them talk, actually seeing Loki genuinely smile for the first time since hes got here, and had agreed to bring Loki back there to see the girl again next Thursday. That is today." (Y/N) nods.

Loki was nervous. He didn't want to admit it, but he was. As long as he was, Loki wasn't coming out his bathroom. But (Y/N) had an idea.

"Loki," (Y/N) knocks softly, "I know your nervous, but you need to come out. The fearless Loki isn't scared of a little midgardian, is he?" (Y/N) teases, winking a Steve.

Seconds later a fully dressed Loki stood in the doorway, a look of determination on his pale face.

"Let's go." Loki says walking out the room with a new found confidences. (Y/N) smiles, proud her plan had worked, and follows Loki out.

Steve, Loki, and (Y/N) walk to the elevator, almost making it, but they're stopped by Tony. He gives (Y/N) a smiles, playfully winking, but doesn't even acknowledge Loki's presences.

"Hey Cap, Fury just called. He wants you at the base in 10." Steve shakes his head.

" I can't, I'm taking Loki out. It's my day. I promised I'd take him to the book store again."

"Well he'll just have to wait until next Thursday." Tony shrugs his arms. Loki narrows his eyes at Tony, anger begins to boil in his chest. He had to go to the book shore today. He had to see her again. And He was running out of time.

"You do not understand, man of Iron. I must go to the book store. It is urgent." Loki says, his voice calm, but fire burns behind his green eyes. Tony glares at Loki, finally looking in his direction.

"Listen frosty, Steve has something to do. Something more important. You're not going to the book store. Your dumb books can wait." Loki stares at Tony with his hands in fists, he takes a step towards Tony.

"How dare you-"

"I'll do it." (Y/N) speaks out, cutting Loki off. The three stare at (Y/N) wide eyed.

"What? (Y/N), are you sure?" Steve asks, turning to face (___). (Y/N) nods.

"Yeah, sure. I'll do it. Loki really wants to go. Plus I can use some fresh air." (Y/N) rips the gray hoodie off Steve's waist and puts it on. Tony shakes his head.

"No, (Y/N), Elsa here needs to know he doesn't yet everything he wants." Tony says, glaring at Loki again. (Y/N) shots him a glare.

"Tony, I said I'll do it. Did you just tell me I can't? I don't need your permission. Now, I am taking Loki to the book store. Come on Loki, we'll take my motorcycle." And with that (Y/N) grabs Loki's hand, pulling him to the elevator.

Bonus

(Y/N) and Loki get to the book store in under 5 minutes, as Loki was already 10 minutes late. Loki runs into the book store, (Y/N) trying to catch up with Loki's long legs, and looks around frantically. (Y/N) stands next to him, trying to help him find her, but she hasn't seen her before.

"What does she look like?" (Y/N) asks, eyebrows scrunched. Loki smiles.

"She is far too beautiful to describe. She has the most gorgeous eyes and the softest looking hair in all the nine realms. Her sweet laugh repeats over and over in my head.Her smile is brighter than all the stars combined, and it fills my whole being with warmth every time I picture it in my mind. She is truly an angel from heaven."

(Y/N) stares up at Loki in awe, never hearing Loki talk about anyone like that ever before, let alone a humans.

' Wow,' (Y/N) think to (___)self, ' Loki is head over heels for this girl.'

"There." Loki points, a huge smile on his face and his eyes sparkling with pure happiness. Following his gaze, (Y/N) looks straight at a girl sitting at a table in the back, her head in a book. As if she could feel someone was looking at her, the girl looks up and make eye contact with Loki, a bright smile appearing on her face. She waves shyly at them and gesturing for Loki to come.

Loki smiles, starting to walk to her, but stop half way. Turning back, he gives (Y/N) the biggest smile, mouthing 'Thank you' before sitting down across from the girl.

(Y/N) smiles, happy to see Loki finally happy.
