Chapter 4:

Avery's POV:

"Thank you for flying with British Airs"

I walk off the plane, the flight was 13 and a half hours, my head pounded from lack of sleep. I past the many other people grabbing my luggage and rolling it outside. I hear thick British accents mingling behind me.

Now where the hell are you gonna go?

My inner self taunts at me, and at this point I didn't know. I sighed and signaled a taxi, "Where too?" the thick British accent spat at me. I needed something to wake me up, and thinking about where I was going to sleep tonight wasn't my cup of tea. "Got any coffee shops around here?" the taxi driver floors it causing me to jolt back on the seat.

"Fuck" I mumble.

"Welcome to England" the taxi driver smirks.

We arrive several minutes later and I hand him nearly the last bit of money I had. "Have a good day" I mumble grabbing my luggage. "Yea, you too" he speeds off the second I step foot on the curb. I smell the coffee as soon as I walk in, and sigh heavily realizing I have only 100 dollars left to my name.

"Elo love, what drink do you fancy today?" I smile at his accent. I look up to see his face and notice he's an attractive guy. "Um, I'll have a coffee" he nods "Cream or no cream?" he smirks, "Cream" he presses the buttons on the register "3 pounds" I nod handing him the money.

"So where you from, I've never heard an accent like yours" I think about back home and New York an Adrianna and Mason "I'm from New York" he nods and hands me my coffee "What you doing all the way in England?" I take a sip of the hot liquid then finish speaking "Stuff happened back home" he nods and looks interested, but doesn't dare ask about it.

"Mind if I sit with you?" I nod "No that's fine, but don't you have work?" he takes off his apron and shoves it underneath the counter rushing to the door flipping the sign that says 'CLOSED' "Nope, coffee shops closed" I glance at my cellphone that now reads 8:13 p.m.

I hope you brought a blanket, cause your gonna need it for the park bench you'll be sleeping on tonight.

I push my thoughts out of my head sitting down at the nearby booth, moments later the attractive boy joins me.

"I didn't catch your name, I mean not that I'd need it-- I always remember a beautiful face when I see one"

I blush slightly "Thanks, and my names Avery" he smiles "Beautiful name, for a beautiful girl" I blush again this time it being evidently noticeable. "So Spencer, tell me something about yourself" I mentally cheer for remembering his name that was placed on his name tag.

He raises an eyebrow at me, "How do you know my?--oh my name tag" I nod. "Well, I'm 23 and It's my last year in college, praise god. I live in the flat above you and I met a beautiful girl named Avery" he smirks at me.

"What about you, Avery?" the way he says my name, sends chills running up my body. "W-well I live in New York City as you know, I draw like a lot, I have a brother named Mason and a t-twin sister" I choke on the words, thoughts and anything and everything that has to do with Adrianna comes back to me.

"Oh so there's to of you?" I look down and feel my eyes swelling "Um, a-a-actually there's only one she d-died in a car accident" his face drops "I'm sorry" he leans his arm across the table bringing his hand to my face and wiping a tear.

"Look at the time" I stand up and he follows "I'm gonna go, but thanks for everything and nice meeting you" I turn to walk to the door but feel an arm on my shoulder "Oh where do you stay at?" I look down at my shoes "Well tonight maybe a park bench, and then tomorrow maybe a payphone"

"Look, I have an extra room upstairs, I own this coffee shop and plenty others. I know we just met, but I really would not like to see a a beautiful girl like you on a park bench this late in the cold and dangerous London nights." I close my eyes considering the idea but wanting to deny it anyway,

"I wouldn't be b-bothering you would I?" I look up at him "No, It's usually just me, I wouldn't mind the company"

I blush slightly while he eyed me and took me hand to lead me to his apartment.

"Thank you so much. You won't have to worry about me at all, I will stay out your way, and clean up after myself."

"No problem babe. And no worries I clean all the time." He winked

It's funny I just met him and making me blush already.

He led me to my room and I changed into my pajamas shivering at the cold chill sending electric volts traveling up my body.

I layed down on the bed and closed my eyes, not knowing tears were falling down until they hit the pillow.
