Chapter 10 - Breach of The Peace

0930 hours - Heathrow International Airport

as the plane finally lands on British soil, Commander Field approached the couple and led them to his car. Evan may have also arrived so two have been taken to separate safehouses, Miyuki was taken to Jack's flat which is under Miss Tokitani's care and the boyfriend was sent to Harrison's. Evan had to return to Lancashire through train and so he boarded one returning to Lancashire at Paddington Station.

1500 hours - MI6 Headquarters

meanwhile at MI6 headquarters, Harrison sat in his office as he talked with Jack through the phone. "so what should be our plan now that Price possibly arrived in London?" Harrison asked. "is there anyone in the Royal MP that we can call?" Jack responded. "of course but they're usually for more serious problems" Harrison said. "what about SCO19's? there's a possibility that he'll have a gun with him" Jack asked. "that makes sense, i'll alert the chief inspector then" Harrison answered. "right, i'll let you know when i board the next flight to London, keep them safe" Jack said before hanging up. Harrison then called Chief Inspector Andrews, "yes, chief inspector? it's Harrison, something urgent's come up and i need your help" Harrison said on the phone.

1730 hours - Lancashire, UK

after arriving at the station, Evan took a cab returning home. once he returned home, he unpacked his bags and sat on his bed and looked out the window to find out it was actually raining. as he stared at the window, he thought about how he could get Miyuki back. he knew he will have to turn against the police so he changed clothes and waited until 2100 then drove to the station to steal a Glock 17 handgun along with some equipment from the armed police division, he hid them under the fluorescent police jacket that he was wearing then casually walked out of the station. train stations would always have to check to suspicious items so Evan sat in his Mini then drove on the motorway to London. at one point, he felt sleepy but was suddenly awake once his eyes turned and glowed yellow. this wasn't the DS Evan Price that Lancashire loved, it was his shadow, his demon from within his broken heart.

1600 hours - 700 meters west of Jack's flat, London

on the following day's afternoon, Evan finally stopped his car and parked it on the side of the street the proceeded to finding Miyuki. meamwhile, Jack finally arrived at Heathrow International where he finds Harrison and Andrews taking him to a Vauxhall Insignia sedan. back in his flat, Evan finds out that the entrance is being guarded by SCO19 officers, he had no choice but to bring his gun out and approached the two officers who were quickly alerted once they saw him. "stop! armed police!" one of the officers yelled as he watched Evan walk towards the entrance. he then aimed his MP5 submachine gun at him, thinking he would scare him away. Evan suddenly summoned an SA80 bullpup rifle covered in dark aura then shot the officer in the right arm twice, repeating it on the other officer who was holding a Type 89 rifle. the two were badly injured as Evan carefully proceeded through the entrance, alerting the other SCO19 officers. "front guard is badly injured! i repeat, front guard is badly injured!" one of them said through the radio, not only alerting the rest of the security detail but also Jack and Harrison whom were enroute to the boyfriend's safehouse. Miyuki was scared, fearing that a bullet is awaiting to fly through her head, causing tears to flow from her eyes. "it's going to be fine" Miss Tokitani said to her, moments before sounds of muffled gunfire were heard. Evan was being shot yet barely taking damage as if he isn't human anymore, he was covered in dark aura like the gun he was currently holding, "are we not hurting you!?" one of the SCO19 officers angrily yelled at him. "you're hurting only yourselves!" Evan answered before shooting the officer in the hand that was holding pistol grip of his submachine gun. the other officers opened fire at Evan who was hiding behind cover, no longer obeying their rule of fire one bullet at a time. once their ammunition depleted, Evan returned fire, firing non-lethal shots on the armed officers, one bullet at a time like a proper British Army soldier. "security detail down! requesting LAS with CTSFO on our position, over!" one of the officers yelled through their communication radios. "shit, i knew it!" Jack said loudly. "what is it that you know, Jack?" Andrews asked. "there is a realm that you can only enter from a TV in Fuefuki, in that realm, it is possible that your 'true self' could come out and kill you" Jack answered. "so what does that have to do with this?" Harrison asked. "it could be his true self even though it shouldn't escape that realm" Jack answered. "how did you even know all that?" Andrews asked. "i overheard it at that shopping district, they said that the realm can be displayed on a TV on a rainy midnight. i tried the thing and it worked but all i saw was a blurred image of a traffic officer, it kinda looked like Evan. everyone in town even got the same result." Jack answered. "if you're actually right on this one, we could consider this Britain's first paranormal disturbance since Apathy Syndrome" Harrison said. "we have guns and equipment stored in the trunk, we'll get ready once we make it to your flat." Andrews said to Jack. meanwhile at his flat, Evan aimed his bullpup rifle at the door's lock and shot it despite the fact he finally has enough strength to break the door open. once it was unlocked, he forced the door open and walked into the living room to find Miyuki and Tokitani trembling. he dismissed his bullpup rifle and looked at Miyuki with a frightened expression. "Miyuki..." he mumbled. "i-i...i'm so sorry..." he quietly said as a tear flowed from his eye then hugged her. "Evan-kun...forgive me..." Miyuki whispered as ambulances and jankel vans were heard arriving at the very front of the building along with Royal MP officers. "no, Miyuki...forgive me..." Evan whispered before letting her go as CTSFO operators run up the stairs, escorting medics to the injured SCO19 officers. when Evan knew there was backup, he kissed Miyuki in the lips before walking out to face the CTSFO operators, he pulled out his Glock 17 then walked towards the armed men. Jack, Harrison and Andrews were the last to arrive at the flat, the three decided that they had no time to get the guns and equipment so they quickly ran upstairs to witness the CTSFO operators open fire at Evan, finally bringing him down. "Price, no!" Jack yelled as he watched Evan getting brutally shot down. Evan then dropped his Glock 17 then fell to the floor, survivng the execution performed by CTSFO operators. "Evan!? Evan!!" Jack yelled as he hurried over to him, shoving the armed men out of his way. Evan was actually still alive as if the dark aura protected him. he stood up and held up his hands then a CO19 officer came up and detained Evan. "Detectove Sergeant Evan Price, we are arresting you for breach of the peace, offensive acts against a police officer, unauthorized use of a firearm and attempt of sexual assault" the armed officer said. "attempt of sexual assau-- that's not what i was trying to do!" Evan yelled as the armed officer binds his hands together with handcuffs. "you do not have to say anything but anything you do say will be taken down and may be given in evidence, do you understand these rights as i read them to you?" the armed officer asked Evan. "yes! just...end it already..." Evan answered as tears flow from his eyes before the armed officer walks him down to the entrance and leaves him confined in the back of a prison transport van then signalling the drivers to take him to the station. as the van leaves the scene, Evan smiled and sniffled as if he was about to cry.

0000 hours - Tokyo, Japan

meanwhile in an interrogation room guarded by two police officers, DCI Philips entered to confront the mugger once more to explain what happened to the scouser. "it seems that the englishman that you've met on that bus has been arrested for injuring police officers and breach of the peace, not to mention that the girl and her boyfriend are now considered safe." the DCI said to the man before continuting, "unfortunately...in case this is to occur once more, we're gonna have to arrest you on behalf of the Tokyo Metropolitan Police. you do not have to say anything but it may harm your defense if you do not mention when questioned something which you later rely on in court. Anything you do say may be given in as evidence." the DCI said before reciting the right to silence. "i'm sorry..." the mugger said to the DCI, "i know..." Philips mumbled as he walked out of the interrogation room before allowing the two guarding constables to enter.
