2330 hours - Charing Cross Police Station, London

after debriefing with the officers in the wake of the incident in Jack's flat, the lieutenant drove to Charing Cross Police Station where Evan is being held by Royal MP. "how is he?" Jack asked the superintendant. "the poor lad's okay...but then, it seemed like he was crying the whole way" the superintendant answered. "right, i see..." Jack said before seeing a Royal MP officer. "what are they doing here?" he curiously asked. "the prime minister must have been scared that he'll go berserk so he sent them here" the superintendant answered. "he can't be bloody serious..." Jack said with a sigh. "at least we could say it's over..." Harrison said in a quiet tone. "should i tell him now?" Jack asked Harrison. "he is saod to be asleep at the moment so maybe we should wake him up later, he can't be sleepy on his trial tomorrow" the superintendant answered. "well that's just bloody great..." Jack said after a sigh. "what are we supposed to say to his dad now that he's probably gonna be in HMP?" Harrison asked. "didn't his dad die in south pole?" Jack asked. "no, Jack...Australian Intelligence say that he just got on a plane to London" Harrison answered. "so i guess we'll have to wait for the outcome then..." Jack said to Harrison.

the next day, 1300 hours - Central London County Court

as the jury discusses yesterday's incident, the judge suddenly enters and tells the jury to stand then sit down once again. he then calls out Evan to stand up once more to discuss the incident involving Miyuki and her protection.

"Detective Sergeant Evan Price, you have been called attend this trial so that we can discuss yesterday's events involving Ms. Miyuki Kizukinosuke along with the SCO19 officers who were assigned to protect her, it has been expected that you would be hereby charged for unauthorized use of firearms, attempted kidnapping, breach of the peace and offending a fellow police officer. unfortunately, these charges have been dropped by order of prime minister Daniel Camber and also due to lack of evidence. however, you have been under suspicion of neglecting your duties as a member of Lancashire Constabulary's Criminal Investigation Department and for that, you are hereby guilty for negligence of duty by order of the court. sentence will be not only permanent removal from Lancashire Constabulary but also an agreement that you will not reside in british territories until further notice. consider it as a protective action by the ministry of defense in response to the incident. this trial has ended, you are dismissed"

as the trial ended, Jack escorted Evan out of the premises and to the street where the two find a man who turns out to be Evan's father. "Dad...?" Evan said in a quiet tone. "Evan..." his father imitated then ran to him and hugged him. "Dad! you're alive!" Evan loudly said as he embraced his father. "yes, Evan...i'm still alive..." his father mumbled in response before the two released each other. "just...how?" Evan asked. "well i did promise i'd be back" his father answered. "and here you are...alive and well..." Evan said with a weak smile. "hehe you know what? let's go home, i assume you'd be old enough to listen to me explain what happened" his father said as he smiled back. the three then stepped inside the car then left for Lancashire.

two days later, 1430 hours - Price residence, Lancashire

after Evan's last two days of living in Britain, it was unfortunately the time to say goodbye. he took everything from his locker, gave up his badge but was given back by his chief inspector who even gave him his old traffic police jacket and packed up as much as he can carry from his bedroom. minutes before leaving, he took the opportunity to talk to his father. "so what's gonna happen now that i'll be gone?" Evan asked his father. "oh there's no need to worry about me, Evan. i still got my army pension and besides, i'm thinking of running my own pub" his father answered. "your own pub? what are you gonna call it?" Evan asked. "the short leg" his father answered. "the short leg...? are you referring to Samantha? our cat?" Evan asked. "well she is a manx cat after all" his father replied. "Evan" Jack suddenly called Evan. "yeah, coming" he said to him then stood up. "i'm gonna miss you, dad" Evan said as he hugged his father. "i'll miss you too...just be happy that you're allowed to visit me any time" his father said. "i promise i will..." Evan mumbled before releasing his father then stepped in the sedan. he shuts the door then buckled in his seat belt. after a moment of silence, Jack started the car's engine drove off back to London with Evan in the passenger seat, looking at his father through the side mirror. after hours of travel, he eventually arrived in Heathrow International then boarded a plane returning to Japan

three days later, 1500 hours - Shinjuku, Tokyo

on a rainy afternoon in Shinjuku, Evan hurried to the nearest bus stop and sat down then breathed in and out. three days have passed since his forced resignation from Lancashire's police service and now he seemed excited as he successfully applied for a job at Takura Productions. his new occupation won't suit him well but he is grateful for the fact that it will not involve british authorities. as the bus arrives and opens it's doors, he quickly climbed aboard then took a random window seat before the bus suddenly began moving. several minutes later a young japanese girl with black hair came aboard the bus and sat next to Evan, she was wearing a sleeveless blouse with skinny jeans and sneakers. she felt tired then suddenly leaned on Evan's shoulder, closing her eyes. Evan would soon follow by wrapping his arm around her neck and stared into space. he thought it could repeat the events of five months ago but it seemed to be different but in a positive way.
