I really should not have let myself go so far so soon. As soon as I got home and I was lying in bed, the things I said to him actually started to sink in.

I have this feeling where I really want to kiss you.

How freaking stupid am I? Did I really have the guts to say that to him? Now he's going to think I'm practically in love with him, and he's got me in his grip already. And I don't want him to think that.

It's like I knew from the beginning I was going to fall, and give in, but I at least wanted it to be a bit more... Paced. Now I've just thrown myself at him, which is understandable considering I haven't even kissed anyone for four years, but it's not what I wanted.

What if it is a prank after all? What if he doesn't mean anything, and he's having a laugh with his buddies right now?

I sigh. No. I'm pretty sure that's not it. He proved that by directly lying to Luke. He has to care a little bit just to do that. I wonder if they're going to beat up the Chuck guy in the end. I'm still shaken because of that, but I'm feeling better.

At least it didn't go as far as he wanted it to, obviously. If he'd actually... Ugh, I don't even want to think about it. It didn't happen, and all that's all that matters.

My phone starts ringing, and I realise it's Seth. Yes, by now I've changed the name from Rita to Seth. It's strange, because every time we text I can't help but think of him as Rita rather than Seth.

"Hey Zoe." He says quickly. I sit down.

"Hi."

"Are you doing anything tonight?"

"Let me just check my timetable. You see, I'm so popular and I have so many people to go out with, I'm not sure I can fit you in." I say sarcastically.

"You know what I meant."

"Obviously I'm not doing anything tonight, Seth."

"Could I take you out?"

I sigh. I should have known this was coming. See, if I'd just walked my stupid arse home after the Chuck incident, none of this would be happening. He would still be far away, in the friend zone. Now, he wants to take me out.

"We can't get caught." I say quickly.

"That just makes it more fun, doesn't it?"

"I don't want your shitty acting skills to be put to the test again."

"Well, if it comes down to that, I think my shitty acting skills are better than us being unmasked." I sigh. "Come on, surely you want to. This is something out of a book, Zoe."

"That's the point." I answer quietly. "This is all so unreal."

"So, will you come?"

"I'll get back to you later." I say with a small smile. "As I previously said, I need to check my oh-so-busy schedule. I might not be able to." He chuckles.

"Okay. Text me." He finishes before hanging up. I sigh and sit down to study Japanese.

Time flies as I study, and without me even realising six hours pass. Finally, it's hunger that makes me get up and wander around the kitchen, looking for something to eat. Both my parents are out, my father at work, and my mother with some friends.
