Love is Just Something You Read in Books

I'm not one for sappy romance stories

With happy endings and I love yous

Where rationality is a forbidden territory

And the bad guys always lose

But fairy tales are better than reality

And sadly love is a term commonly misused

Where people think you got knocked up if you're married before thirty

And I do mostly ends in I hate you

Marriage is just a piece of paper

And rings are just an accessory

Children are just something that comes later

And true love is just a myth from a distant century

And sometimes I think that love doesn't exist

Because all I see is humans with no humanity

And I guess I'm just a misfit

Trying to live in a world of fantasy

The odds are that I'm going to get married some day

Maybe he'll be a guy of good looks

And we'll probably be divorced before my hair turns grey

Because love is just something that you read in books
