There's a Clock – hanging on the wall,
That mocks us in His Dance;
Spinning, spinning until I thought –
It left me in a trance.
I hear Him in my restless sleep,
Ticking – into my Ear –
Carelessly Counting the Minutes,
Until I disappear –
The Music – falls and slips and fades;
The Ticking, almost Gone,
I died – suddenly – knowing then –
The Clock kept Ticking on.
