RILEY'S P.O.V

My heart started beating really fast , she was going to say my baby is sick or something .

" TELL ME ALREADY ! WHAT IS IT ? " i yell as the doctor looks up .

" Your baby didn't make it "

" WHAT ! NOOOO " i scream as i throw my head to Daniel's arms

" babe , it's going to be okay ." Daniel says trying to make me feel better .

" What caused her baby to die? " my mom asks the doctor .

" the tests show that drugs and alcohol made her baby very sick and it is so little it couldn't fight it . " the doctor replys to my mom. Oh gosh now my mom knows ive drank before , AND smoked weed .

I look up nervously and see my mom giving me a very mean look .

" RILEY WHY WOULD YO-" she began saying before daniel cut her off ,

" in all respect , i don't think Riley needs that right now."

My mom stopped talking and looked away

" let's go " She says as she gets up and walks out .

DANIELS POV

We are in the back seat and we were headed home now ,

" Riley , you do drugs and you drink ? " i whispered so her mom cant hear us /

" babe no , only a couple times at parties , it's not something i do normally . You have drank before , you drink all the time at parties . "

" yeah but not weed " i whisper back.

" Daniel , i want a kid with you "

I think Riley's mom heard. She looked back at us after Riley said that .

I smiled as she lay her head on my lap .

" Daniel do you want to go home or come to our house again." her mom asks

"uh i'll just go home , mom is probably worried by now "

She doesn't reply to me , she just takes me back to her house to grab my things and then drops me off . Riley gets out and walks with me to my door .

" wish me luck " i say as i laugh beginning to unlock my door .

" why what's wrong " she asks.

" you already know how my mom is , she gets mad at everything i do ."

" does she know what we did "

" yeah , she was mad. She threatened that if we ever did it again while your only 16 and i'm only 17 that she would throw me out , " Daniel says as he laughs .

" She doesn't have to know " Riley says smirking as she laughs and kisses Daniel bye.

" bye babe ."

" come over later " i say as she walks away ,she gave me n " okay " signal as she got in the car .

i unlock the door and go in to see.... nobody . my mom is never home . I walk into the kitchen and see a note on the counter .

" Daniel , your dad is coming tonight , behave yourself . - mom "

i say aloud as i read the note . oh my gosh ,i haven't seen my dad for a long time , he left me a long time ago.

i go to my room and clean it up .

A couple hours later

As i'm laying in bed i hear the door bell ring .my heart dropped . i slowly open the door .

" Hey daniel . " my dad says as he hugs me .

" hey ..dad " i say awkwardly as i close the door behind me .

he walks over and sits on the couch.

We sat there in pure silence for a good 10 minutes .

" Daniel, i'm really sorry about what happened a long time ago . i need your forgiveness "

"Dad , it's been so long since you left . i just want to catch up with you and forget the past ."

My dad gave me a deep smile and leaned closer to me .

" So how are you ? do you like living here ? How is school ? are you a good kid "

All these questions came rushing to me.

" dad one question at a time " i Say as we begin to laugh .

Me and my dad started a real conversation and it felt as if he was always there .

i get up to the sound of the door bell . i open the door to see Riley .

" OH ., uh hey " i say awkwardly .

She looks in and sees my dad ,

" Oh i'm sorry , am i interrupting something ? i can go ." Riley says as my dad walks over .

"oh daniel , you didn't tell me you had a girlfriend "

My dad says as he shakes Riley's hand , i shook my head , ugh . I didn't want him to know about Riley .
