"Run, MeyRin!" Yuu called. But the noble was much too fast for me. I stared up in fear as the seventh progenitor stood towering over me, a devilish smirk on his face. He grabbed me by the arm and brought his face to my ear.
"Count to three then fall to the ground." He whispered in my ear before sinking his teeth into my neck. I flinched, but counted to three, and I felt him release me and I fell to the ground, as Ferid had instructed. I didn't know what his plan was, but as I lay next to the bodies of my family, I realized it didn't matter, as I probably wouldn't live to witness it. Mika and Yuu were the only ones left standing, since Ferid had killed the others. I should be sad, I should feel great sorrow, but I don't. What have they ever done for me, truly?
I heard a gunshot and looked over to see Lord Ferid fall to the ground, a large amount of blood surrounding his head. My eyes widened. Mika lay on the ground, a wound across his stomach, and his arm had been cut off. He was alive, but probably wouldn't be for much longer. Yuu was trying to help him up.
"Just go you idiot!" Mika yelled.
"Im not leaving you!" Yuu yelled back. Stubborn as always, Yuichiro. There was no way Mika would make it to the door, nevermind survive out in the open.
"Go, Yuu!" Mika cried. Tears poured out of both of their eyes, but Yuu turned and ran out the door, leaving everything he had behind.
