MeyRin's Pov

As I lay on the floor, surrounded by the dead bodies that were scattered around the room, I heard the click of high heels walking into the room.
"Lord Ferid. Get up." A female voice said. I looked in the direction it came from. That's Krul Tepes, the queen and third progenitor.
"I see you haven't learnt the value of sympathy since I last saw you. I was shot in the head, you know." Ferid said, getting up off the ground, and holding his hand to his head for a second, as if he was inspecting the wound.
"Shit by a twelve year old boy, with your own pistol. And you let one of my seraphs escape, and the other lays dying." She dropped to her knees, hovering above Mika, who was barely clinging onto life.
"Do you want to live? I can give you the gift of eternal life." She said to him.
"I.. don't want it." Mika croaked, his voice was weak.
"Well too bad, I'm not letting you die. You'll thank me later." She said, then she bit her lip, causing a small stream of blood to trickle down her chin. She pressed her lips to Mika's, and a scream erupted from his body once she pulled away. She rose from her sitting position.
"What are you still doing here, Ferid. Go before you annoy me even more than normal." She spat, but there was a hint of playfulness in her voice.
"The girl, over there, I hate to admit it but I've taken a bit of liking to her, may I have your permission to grant her the same as you did sweet Mikaela? They were friends, it might help him." Ferid asked her.
"Very well. But do it quick, and then get out of my sight." She snapped.
"Thank you, your highness." He said, over dramatically. I heard his footsteps grow louder as he neared me. I sat up a little as he reached my side. He knelt beside me, and brought his thumb to his mouth, biting his thumb and causing a few drops of blood to fall to the ground. He brought his hand towards me and ran his cut thumb along my bottom lip, leaving a small trace of his blood on it. I timidly licked it off, before I felt something burning inside me. I screamed, as Mika had earlier. I lay back on the ground an closed my eyes, attempting to catch my breath.
"You'll be able to survive off my blood now that you're a half vampire, until you drink human blood you will remain as one. But you cannot stay this way forever. Eventually you will have to fully turn, and then you will stop aging, and you will require human blood to survive." Ferid explained. I just stared at him in shock of the recent events. He outstretched a hand to me, which I took and he helped me to my feet.
Lord Ferid started walking towards the staircase across the room, and i decided it would be best for me to follow him.
"My didn't you just kill me like the rest of them?" I asked. "And what about Mika, is he gonna be okay? Is he like me now?" I asked.
"So many questions for such a small girl." He muttered. "Mika will be fine, and yes, he is like you."
"What about-" I looked around. No. They weren't coming back.
"Mhmm?" Ferid turned to look at me, his one eyebrow was raised.
"Nothing." I mumbled. We continued walking, up the stairs and down a hallway. We eventually arrived at his mansion. I guess it made sense that there were multiple ways to get to it, the place was huge.
"Come on." He said opening the door.
I went inside, and he followed close behind. This was a different door, to a part of the mansion I had never seen. I had been here many times, and still it felt like I had only seen a small percent of it.
"This way." He chimed, walking up a staircase. I ran after him. I didn't know where he was leading me, but I didn't have anywhere else to go, so I followed him. He had saved my life after all, even if he was the one who endangered it in the first place.
We walked down a long hallway, before we stopped at a door. He opened it, and put his hand on my shoulder to guide me inside the room. It had grey walls, marble flooring, a single bed with poofy white bedding, and a small white dresser with a mirror on top.
"You can stay here from now on. I assume you don't object?" He asked.
"No sir. Thank you Lord Ferid." I smiled.
"You will continue to give me your blood in return for you staying here." He said.
"That sounds fair." I agreed.
"Get settled in. I'll call you for dinner." He said, his robes flapping as he spun around and walked out of the room and down the long hallway.
