A story has a lot of moving parts. It's like a puzzle to assemble or a carpet to weave. Every place has a piece and every piece has its place.
That's where we, the storytellers, roll up our sleeves and create the magic.
Story is art. It is timeless. It's perfect in its ability to be imperfect. So, there is no "formula" or set of "rules" to write your story. But like a painter who has many paint brushes and hues, we have our tools to create our masterpieces. This guide is like the box where we can keep our tools until we're ready to use them.
In Part 3 has a bunch of Resources for you to explore. If I recommended a book, I also include a video clip from the author.
Starting with Part 4, I pull together movie clips, writing tips, templates, Ideas, examples, explanations and everything else relevant to help you develop your story.
Each topic could be (and most often can be found) as a book in itself. I encourage you to purchase books on writing and begin your own writer's library. I see my writing books as friends who sit next to me and encourage my creations. (Of course, we writers can let our imaginations be a little psychotic like that!)
As you read each part, I welcome your comments. The Wattpad writing community brings brilliant ideas for everyone's benefit.
Each Topic has many subtopics. The subtopics are listed as separate parts to make it easy to navigate. You could read The Writer's Guide straight through, but you're more likely to go to an individual subtopic. This is designed to be used easily either way.
So, pick a Topic and begin your writing journey...!
