We were all awake in the apartment, but we were silent. Delilah was making us all some breakfast and Thorn was setting up the table. They had been living together for a while, along with Rosie and Reed living together. But Lily and I were the only ones that lived on our own. Lily has her artwork, and I have my own problems. Everyone knows and is understanding.

As the apartment filled with the smell of waffles, bacon, and eggs, Delilah said, "Come and get it while it's hot!" We all jumped to our feet and ran towards the kitchen. I was first, as usual, and smiled at my victory. I got the freshly made waffles, eggs, and bacon, and boy did it smell good. Everyone looked at me with some jealousy, but eventually got their own plates of food.

We ate in silence, but mostly because we were stuffing food into our mouths. Delilah always enjoyed watching us eat her food. Even though we always made a mess, which Thorn was always happy to clean up. Delilah and Thorn are something else; they had been together for at least three months or more, but they seemed to be together for much longer. Rosie and Reed were together for only a month and a half, and they were perfect together.

Lily was always working on her art; whether it be painting, drawing, coloring, or anything else. Her apartment always had her works everywhere, and she normally had paint on her face. Me, well, you already know what I do. Lily had been looking for a boyfriend, but found that her art was more to her than a boyfriend. But I was in no mood for a relationship; I was never in one, and I never knew what to do. Not to mention that I probably couldn't keep a stable one. Everyone I ever knew either hated me or was scared of me.

But it didn't matter to me; my life was more important to me. I needed to live for myself, and that meant that I couldn't put anyone else in danger. I ate quietly, feeling a bit lonely and sad when I thought of the two couples at the table. Delilah must have read me like one of her many books, and put her hand on top of mine. "It's okay," she told me, giving me a sympathetic smile, "You'll find someone eventually." I looked at her slight disbelief, but mostly hope. She smiled at me warmly, but went back to eating. I sat in my seat, my plate alf empty, wondering about the person I'd eventually fall for. That's when I shook my head. 'Don't get your hopes up,' I told myself, 'you may not even get the chance to meet someone like that.' Everyone finished eating, their plates empty, and looked at me. I knew what they were going to ask; why I woke them up last night. Might as well tell them what they want to hear. Well, write to them.

Delilah gave me a pen and some paper after Thorn cleaned off the table. I wrote down what happened in my dream, my hand trembling and my shoulders shaking. As I finished, I was trembling nonstop.

I dropped the pen and shoved the papers away from me, not wanting to remember what had happened behind my closed eyes. Delilah gathered the papers and began to read them slowly, her voice crisp and clear, "What happened last night happens only when two things happen; One, just me overusing my powers. Or two, when something bad is going to happen. I personally believe that it's the second option. With what I saw in my horrid nightmare, I saw something from the past and I felt like I was reliving it. The only memory I have that will always haunt me is the one I have told you before;  The memory of  when I got my powers and Tommy's death. I wish these demons would go away, but they refuse to. They keep dragging me under, torturing me as I both sleep and stay awake. I saw Tommy, half rotten with no pupils for his eyes, blaming me for his death and saying that he can't see our departed parents. And I felt the pain from those memories, and it made my powers go haywire. That's why I screamed and cried. That's why I woke you all up last night. I'm sorry for that."

I saw everyone give me a worried look, and Delilah was the first one to get up and hug me, followed by Lily. Eventually, everyone was hugging me, but I held onto no one. I was still trembling, but it wasn't as much as before. I had tears well up in my eyes cne more, blurrying my vision and causing me to sniffle.

"You can cry. We're here for you, Prim. We're your family now," Delilah said to me softly and kindly. That broke me, causing me to hold onto them and bawl my eyes out. I was so happy to be here, with these wonderful people. She was right, I have a new family; My family of friends.
