I was in a cell with Stormy now, and I felt so empty and hot. My insides felt like they had been burned to ashes and my skin was too hot, causing me to sweat too much. Everywhere hurt, my body felt like it was constantly on fire. My arms started getting burned after I was taken away, making the pain ten times worse.

I was constantly panting, and dehydrated, and sweating. My hair had changed, giving me a new look, one of which was strange. But I layed on the cold stone floor, my body wanting nothing more than to absorb the cold.

I noticed that Stormy was looking at me, with both fear and worry in her eyes. I barely opened my eyes, and shook my head. I didn't want her to worry about me, but there was something I could do to try and alleviate the pain. I got up very slowly, my eyes still shut as I slowly rose up from where my body was resting.

"Prim, you shouldn't be up," I had heard Stormy say to me, sitting at my side, "You should rest." I looked at her, and shook my head no. And it was harder to explain to her what had happened. Actually, it's so much harder to try and get my point across to her, since I was now mute, PERMANENTLY.

I eventually sat up and got on my feet, allowing me to finally walk around. I was slow at first, but I was eventually walked at the pace I used to. It took a long while to get to jogging and running, but I refused, wholeheartedly, to give up on rebuilding my strength.

Months had passed as I focused on myself, my training, and on Stormy, but I managed to keep it all in check. I had to eat, sleep, and drink lots more water, just to keep my body's core temperature down to the bare minimum, which is between just right and overheating. I preferred to stay inside, thanks to what had happened to me, but they didn't allow that. In fact, I had more tests done on me; making me do whatever they wanted until I got mad or exhausted all of my energy.

I started to train my body, honing what little of it I felt like I still had. I took baby steps, only doing a few things at a time. I was starting to look better, but the tests those damned "scientists" kept doing on me made me look like I was a walking corpse. One day, during lunch, I refused to eat, not touching a single morsel of food. I just pushed my tray to the edge of the table, not wanting to give in to the temptation and eat. Some guards watched me do this, and a few of them started to walk toward me. I got up before they were anywhere near me, and I walked to the wall. They looked confused, everyone did. I slowly raised up my arms and touched the cold stone that stood between me and the outside world.

I took a long, but deep breath, trying to harness my powers. My arms started glowing and I could feel the energy start running through them. That's when I had heard the guards yell at me, but to my surprise, the other kids stopped them. They created a wall and only let the younger kids through first. I saw Stormy next to me, and I smiled at her. 'We're busting out of this good-for-nothing hellhole,' I thought triumphantly. With my arms glowing very brightly, they were beginning to show what was flowing inside me. I grunted, and let the two devastations out, the immense heat and the powerful shock destroying a large hole in the wall.

For the first time in ten long, grueling years, I felt the cold autumn air brush against my skin and comb my long knotted hair. I couldn't help but smile and breathe deeply, my lungs filling up with real oxygen. I looked over at Stormy, smiling at her and pointed out of the hole. It took her a while, but she began to understand what I said. "We're escaping," she asked with a smile. I nodded my head, about to step out until I heard a gunshot.

As soon as I saw and heard it, I grabbed Stormy's wrist and started to run like the devil was on my heels. She couldn't really keep up, so I had to carry her. Not too long after I ran, I saw the other kids running, jumping through the trees, or just doing whatever they could to run away. Then the gunshots came once more. One by one, I watched most of the children around me die or get wounded. I was still holding Stormy when a rock hit her head, causing it to start bleeding. I got worried and quickly covered up her wound. I kept running like crazy, panting lightly.

'Thank the Lord I was training, but I'm worried about her,' I thought as I continued to run for both our lives. I eventually saw the lights of what looked like a city or town. Whatever it was, I didn't care. I ran straight for that, knowing that there may people who would be kind enough to help two young adults who are hurt. I ran and hid behind the house closest to the edge of town, keeping both Stormy and I in the shadows.

"Hey, you're the one who broke us out, aren't you," I heard a small, light hearted voice behind me. I turned to the voice quickly, seeing a brunette with had minor bruises. I nodded my head, recognizing the clothes she was wearing. "I can take care of her, since you need to run. I know that they're after the one and only Dragon's Wrath," she said in a whisper with a small smile on her face. "I'm Delilah, and I swear to take care of her."

I felt like I could trust her, so I left Stormy with her, and began to run and hide again. I was on my own, but it was better this way. I wouldn't have to worry about putting anyone I cared about in danger. And I vanished into the town, blending in with the night sky and the shadows.
