"Today is the day!" Carly exclaimed as she skipped from her room. "Finally! I haven't seen any other children in over a month!" She laughed.

"Yes it is. The train leaves in 15 minutes, I need to apparate you there." Severus told her as she stuffed a piece of toast in her mouth.

"Ofay Sefrus." She spoke through the toast.

"Don't talk with your mouth full, it's a horrible sight." Severus muttered.

"Sorry Severus". She smiled. "Let's go then, I'm all done." He nodded and grabbed her trunk as she followed him al through the grounds and past the boundaries. She grabbed his arm and then was pulled into a tiny tube which she couldn't breath.

She stood panting for a moment as they arrived straight onto the platform. She stood up and Severus out her trunk on the train. "Thanks so much Severus. It's been great staying with you." Severus felt a pang in his heart but pushed it aside.

"My pleasure." He monotoned. She beamed at him and then got aboard. "I shall see you at Hogwarts Miss.Potter." He nodded.

"Certainly Professor Snape." She waved and watched him dissapparate, then she skipped down the aisle and found an empty compartment. She carefully placed her owl on the seat next to her. She was so excited when Severus gave her the owl, she hugged him and he awkwardly tapped her back.

She had named the owl Nyx (goddess of the night) even though she was a bright white owl. She sat quietly an just stared at nothing for a while. She heard a knock on the compartment door and she looked over.

The door opened to a girl the same age as her. "Hi." She said. "I'm Marley White." The girl grinned. She had waist length blonde hair and the weirdest purple eyes. "Can I join you?"

"Yeh sure." Carly grinned. She waited for the girl to sit down. "This is funny, I'm Carly and your Marley." She laughed. Marley laughed as well.

"Pretty cool. Don't worry, I know who you are, your Carly Potter. I'm not gonna bother you about it or treat you different. Your just a girl, nothing more." Marley explained.

"Thanks, I'm grateful." They spent most of their journey talking about each other's lives.

Carly told Marley about her home life and being saved by Snape, Marley was horrified at how she was treated.

Marley, apparently, was a pure-blood girl and most of her family had been in Ravenclaw. She didn't care about the pure-blood thing though. They had a lot in common as well, they liked pranks, music, singing and both had a similar sense of style. They just both got on really well.

Halfway through the journey, the trolley lady came and they both brought loads of sweets. They seemed to like the same of those as well. They were best friends already.

"Excuse me?" Asked a frizzy haired girl as she poked her head on.

"Hi." Both girls said at the same time.

"Erm...hi. I was just wondering if you had seen a toad anywhere?" She asked.

"No sorry." Carly spoke. "Im Carly by the way, Carly Potter." The girl gasped and Carly and Marley both rolled their eyes.

"Wow, pleasure to meet you. I'm Hermione Granger, and you are?" She asked Marley.

"Marley White."

"That's nice. Well goodbye then." Then Hermione disappeared.

"She seems a bit snotty." Marley remarked.

"Yeh, I have a feeling she is one of those know-it-all type girls." Carly replied. They both randomly burst out laughing and enjoyed the rest of their trip.
