Chapter 1~ Starting Anew

     "Here. Keep this with you, so that when you're feeling down, you can always look at it and know that I am always with you... I love you..." No. Don't go! I still need you!

     "Beep! Beep! Beep! Beep!" Huh? What was that sound? I forced my heavy eyelids open and found myself holding on to the locket tightly...again. I reached out for my phone that was sitting on my side table. I scrolled through my social media for five minutes until I finally decided to get my butt up. I almost had to crawl just to get myself to the bathroom. I turned on the tap and soaked myself in the warm water for a few minutes before I was officially awake. I washed up, changed and got ready by 6.50.

     I slumped onto the sofa in the living room while staring at the clock. What should I do now? School wasn't that far from here. It's was only a 15 minute bus ride from the bus stop that was conveniently situated in front of my house. Dad offered me a ride but I decided to grab breakfast before starting the long school day. Don't get me wrong, it's not like I completely hate school. I mean I get to meet Jae Eun and Jeanele(Ji Yeon) but not every student loves school right?

     I got out of the house and slowly made my way to my favourite cafe. Thankfully my bus stops by at the bus stop near the cafe. I felt lonely and bored while walking to the cafe so I plugged in my earpiece to my phone and hit the shuffle button. "Dope" by BTS started to play and I hummed along to the tune. The song came to Jin's part and I started to visualize Jin in the doctor's suit he was wearing in the MV. I smiled to myself unknowingly. The cutie he is... 

     Within minutes I finally reached the cafe and ordered myself a cup of americano. Needed some caffeine to wake myself up. I shouldn't have stayed up late, trying to catch up with my dramas.

     After receiving my americano, I immediately made my way to the bus stop. I wasn't really late actually and I had about 35-40 minutes to get to school. I just didn't like to arrive at school any later than 10-15 minutes before school started. I gulped down my scorching hot drink while walking at a slightly fast pace towards to bus stop. The coffee was burning my throat but I just couldn't miss the 8.30 bus. I sighed in relief as I had just caught the bus on time.

     The journey took only about 10 minutes before I reached my stop as there weren't as many people on the bus this morning. I stepped off the bus and walked towards the school.

     I looked at my surroundings and saw students, similar to me, reporting to their classrooms for the boring lessons.
Well at least I wasn't the only one.

     I walked into my classroom and saw that there weren't many students yet. I glanced at the clock. 15 minutes before school began. I can't blame them for not reporting yet.

     I looked around and saw that Jae Eun and Jeanele were waiting at my desk. They knew about my habit and they always took the effort to come as I early as I do. Although they do this almost everyday, I'm always touched by their action. I can't help but think that I have the greatest besties. Jeanele spotted me standing by the door and gestured me to sit down. I walked towards them and took my seat.

     "Yah, why were you just standing there?" Jeanele questioned me as I sat down.

     "Just staring into space again. " I came up with an excuse.

     "Yeah right." She smirked at me.
    
     My attention was then turned to Jae Eun who was practically drooling over her phone. I could tell what she was doing by her expression.

     "Yah, pabo. Drooling over Jungkook's abs again?" I teased her cheekily.

     "Ani. But I was admiring him. He's just so cute, isn't he?!" she started her fangirl mode again.

     "Sure but Jin is still better" I protested.

     "She's going crazy again..." Jeanele warned me in English.

     "Yah, you know I don't speak English like you guys..." Jae Eun started to sulk.

     Jeanele was actually from Singapore but she was forced to move here with her mom in Korea at the age of 6. We met in the first week of elementary school while playing on the swings. I found out that she could speak in English also and it had been our 'special thing'. We've been best friends ever since.

     And for my case I was actually half american, half korean. Which explains why the two of us occasionally speak in English. But when we met Jae Eun, she felt uncomfortable whenever we spoke in English as she couldn't comprehend a single word and felt left out. We felt very guilty and sorry so we decided to teach her some English, although she can't make out our full sentences as she only knows the basics for now.

     Just then, he walked in. I felt my heart stop for a moment and all I could see was him. Why was I like this every single time? I just don't get it.

     The two idiots gave me mischevious looks and raised their eyebrows. I tried to stop them from being obvious and they laughed at my request. Yep. My best besties in the world.

     I unknowingly stared at him as he took his seat, until the bell rang and woke me up from my fantasyland. My zombie mode was suddenly clicked on...

Lol. Hey guys, so I know it's kind short and lacking but this is my first fanfiction story and actually my first official story.... So please don't be too disappointed in the story line! Also note: Jin will be about the same age as Amelia but is still older than her because of the difference in birth months in this story. And for those who don't know what is "dope" or WHO IS BTS....there is a video of it in the media box at the top.
