Chapter Nineteen

Zack POV

I watched the only person who understands get dragged across the floor, beaten by my dad, and passed out. I saw my dad take her away and throw he outside in the rain. I heard the door slam shut, sending vibrations throughout the house.

I watched all of this happen and just sat there. I could move.

But I also couldn't feel.

I was just numb.

Wow.

Isn't it sad when you get hurt so much you can't react to anymore?

Slowly, I turned my head, looking around my room.

Red. All I saw was red.

It was on my face, my hands, and splattered all over the room. It was on my bed, on the window, and a drying line made its way to my door, where it stopped at the closed black hole.

The images of my father throwing her around like a ragdoll and of him slamming her onto the walls, drawing blood flashed across my eyes. He just wouldn't stop. He beat her like she was shit. And I still just sat there.

He hurt in to many ways to count, making me watch. Yelling to her she was bitch and to me I worthless.

And I believe part of him.

I know she's not a bitch, she's beautiful and means so much to me. But I'm not like her. I'm worthless, unloved, and unwanted.

I'm just a waste of space.

And as I watched him hurt her, my heart broke into millions of pieces.

And now, it's just ice cold.

No.

Stone cold.

Finally, this book is coming to an end. Most likely, chapter 25 will be the last. I already have the ending planned out and I was wondering if you guys would want a sequel?
