Chase did take me from Adam. I did not see that happening. Why would Adam hold onto this for so long?

"Well we all know how he took Danielle from you, but how did he take me?" Caitlyn asked.

Everyone knew how the blond had wrecked the friendships of the three boys in our group when Danielle came along.

"You liked him. He strung you on for so long to make Bree jealous. You weren't able to see that I was there the whole time." Adam explained with a shy smile. Caitlyn blushed as Adam took her hand. Well wasn't thy just adorable... note the sarcasm.

"Aww, Adam. I love you and you know it." Caitlyn said reassuringly. He smiled down at her. They hugged quickly before turning back to Chase and I. I looked down at my feet as Chase wrapped his fingers around my hand. I looked over to see the look of guilt on his face. He shouldn't feel guilty this is stupid.

"Have you always know this?" I asked worriedly. I'd hoped I wasn't the only one in the dark this whole time. If Chase knew, I didn't know what I think of that.

"I've known. I just didn't know Adam knew." He explained. I shook my head. This was not happening.

"Adam, don't blame Chase. It's my fault. I'm the one who jumped at the chance to be best friends with someone who had relations to my dad. Our dads know-"

"They know each other from college. I know. It still hurts though. We were close back then." Adam said lowly. I rolled my eyes.

"You were close for like three days, get over it. You two are friends now. Isn't that all that matters?" Leo said trying to resolve the fight. I sighed. It wasn't that easy. If Adam was able to hold this grudge for 15 years, we were not getting out of this with logic.

"No, Leo. I have to talk this through. For the record we were friends for more than a couple of days. We were still friends when Bree met little Davenport." Adam replied. Great, now were on a last name basis.

"Adam I didn't know that you and Bree were that close. I didn't know I was ruining a friendship." Chase said simply. I turned over to him to see the guilt still evident on his face.

"We're you only friends with him to get him back because of me? You know what, why were you even friends with both of us?" I asked as I turned my anger to Adam. None of this even begins to justify why he did this to us.

"I was friends with you, Bree, because I wanted to get to know you again. I still wanted our friendship. I was only pretending to be Chase's friend though. I know that sounds bad, but it's true. You and me could be best friends right now if it was it for him."'Adam pointed out. I sighed.

"Adam, I agree with Leo. We're friends now, or at least we were. You, doing all of this, has wrecked whatever friendship we could have continued to have. What about you Chase?" I asked as I took him and brought him closer to me.

"Adam, I'm going to be honest. Even though you were faking, you were one of my best friends. It hurts to know that this entire time, after everything the four of us have been through, that you would still do that to us. All of us. It sucks that we all can't be friends." Chase said as he took my hand and led me to the door.

"I'm coming with you guys. Just let me pack a bag." Leo said simply. He looked emotionless. I would be too though. After finding out your best friend lied to you. Had Adam been planning this the whole time? We've been friends for like two years!
