Chapter 15- Desirée's POV-

Hades and I stood over the pool of water in the basin sitting on his coffee table, watching the ghost army.

The basin filled with water is something called the Seeing Glass. It allows people to watch over other people or things from a distance.

And Hades and I have been watching both the ghost army, and the conjoined armies; otherwise called The Seven's army.

We had watched the ghost army walk through the Doors of Death, then watched them trek towards the camp, and lastly watched them gather with the rest of The Seven's army.

They had been split up into groups of two, and Bianca had gone with Nico, which wasn't much of a shocker since they were siblings.

I had made sure that all of the ghost warriors knew that they couldn't mention me to anyone, especially not to Gaea or The Seven.

They had been a little confused, but I had only mentioned my name to Luke Castellan and Charles Beckendorf.

"So all I can do, is stand and watch? I can't help in any way?" I asked Hades in exasperation.

He sighed in defeat and he tried to lay a hand on my shoulder again, causing it to pass through me again. There's that weird feeling again. I don't think that I'll ever get used to that feeling.

"Sorry, but no. You've only been dead for two months. It would raise suspicion and I can't have that. We would both get in trouble." Hades told me for the second time.

We were already going to get in trouble, but I still sighed sadly and I looked back at the basin of water. It was snowing where they were, and I wished I could be there.

I used to love the snow, the way it felt against my skin, the cold air. Winter was one of my favourite seasons, and now I can't be there to enjoy it.

It's just like when I was unconscious in the Labyrinth. I could watch, but I couldn't do anything to help.

I hate feeling helpless and I thought that was going to stop when I woke up two months ago, but I was wrong, apparently.

Hades turned his head back towards the basin when we heard the conch shells blow three times.

"There's going to be another attack." Hades informed me.

We watched as the Seeing Glass showed us Nico, who was strapping on his armor, and sheathing his sword to his hip.

Then, he strapped a dagger to his left bicep. He looked as though he hadn't slept in awhile... maybe a few days... Or weeks....

He was still as handsome as ever, and the sleepless nights, however many they may be, didn't disrupt his beauty. Oh my gosh, did I really just think that.....?

The army gathered and they were all armored up, ready to fight. And I was going to watch, but someone saying my name behind me caught my full attention.

"Desirée." A low voice from behind me said.

Both Hades and I turned around, and when I saw who it was, I almost had a heart attack. Well, I probably would have if it was even possible. You know, considering I'm dead.

"Viduus, what a wonderful surprise! What brings you here, old friend?" Hades asked with a big fake grin.

He slowly inched to his left so he could try to conceal the Seeing Glass from Viduus, but it wasn't subtle or discreet in any way.
