Chapter 17- Desirée's POV-

Hades and I watched Hazel wake up in The Seven's new infirmary on the tv that was mirroring the Seeing Glass.

They must've built a new one after the other one collapsed on top of me. I sure hope that one is sturdier for them.

Hades had thanked me for helping Hazel and I had just shrugged. Seeing her had made me miss Nico even more than I had before. I made sure not to let that show, though. Hades might torment me about it.

I barely allowed myself to watch as Nico stabbed, jabbed, sliced, and diced monster after monster.

He was a good swordsman, I'll admit that, but watching him from a distance felt like I was stalking him.

And I would much rather be there with him, talking to him, and all that jazz. But I can't now and I never can.

The scene switched to Percy, who was battling some giant who seemed to have an endless amount of weapons.

Hades snapped his fingers and a black iron sword, one that much resembled Nico's sword, fell from the sky and buried itself deep into the giants shoulder at the same time that Percy stabbed its foot.

The giant exploded into golden dust and Percy yelled out, 'Thanks Hades', and Hades grinned happily. I just rolled my eyes.

Hazel was slashing at enemy demigods with her cavalry sword like she hadn't just died and come back, and she didn't look pained at all.

Archer was on a hill with his bow and quiver full of arrows, picking off monsters like there was no tomorrow.

Deimos was battling giants with Jason, since you need both a demigod and a god to kill a giant.

Annabeth was fighting back to back with Luke Castellan, the both of them killing lycanthropes with silver daggers.

Bianca was with Archer and the other Hunters of Artemis on the hill with their bows and quivers.

Of course Archer wasn't a hunter, and I know that's obvious; he's a guy. I also had always found it ironic that his name was Archer, and he was an excellent archer.

Leo was torching monsters with his fire power, Frank was turning into animals and knocking out enemy demigods, and Piper was charm speaking some enemy demigods into fighting for The Seven instead of against The Seven.

I could see some skeletal warriors that Nico had most likely summoned, and they were pretty helpful.

If I still had my magic, I would help in any way that I could. But, unfortunately, my magic died with me.

Hades's eyes were glued to the television with genuine interest, but I couldn't focus. I was too lost in my thoughts.

I couldn't help but think about how I could be sentenced to the Fields of Punishment for the rest of eternity.

I didn't want to be punished for doing what I thought was right, especially not for eternity. I also thought about how much I had missed out on while I was alive.

I had barely seen any of the U.S, and I had never been to Italy. I don't really know why I wanted to go to Italy, but it might have something to do with the fact that Nico was born there.

I had never had American alcohol, I had never had very many friends, and more importantly, I had never had my first kiss.

Yeah, I had never had my first kiss. Pretty pathetic, huh? I think so. I wish I could go back and do all of those things, but I can't.
