Chapter Eight: The rescue

Third Person POV

Lusamine woke up on a strange ship. She could tell that she was in the brig. It smelled of rotting wood and must.

She hated the smell. She was hoping that this was all a terrible dream but unfortunately for her it wasn't.

This was all real. She wish she had her Pokemon partner Cleffable with her. She knew that Cleffable would cuddle her and make her feel better but Marcus has released her into the wild so there was no chance of seeing her partner ever again.

Tears streamed down her cheeks and she thought about Gladion and Lillie and how much she missed them.

Lusamine felt extremely sick and was im pain. She knew that the poison was spreading through her body. She knew that maybe in a few days that without that antidote she would surely die.

She knew that UB01's poison takes about two months two kill it's victim.

It's a painful and slow death unless you cure it. It's almost been two months and Lusamine felt like she was on the brink of death.

Lusamine knew that there was only a matter of time before the poison reached her heart and she would die. Her death was soon approaching and she knew it.

Lusamine was about to give up hope when she heard shouting and fighting the voices sounded foreign.

They didn't sound like they belonged to Attila or Topaz. It sounded like it belonged to a boy about her age. She her the sound of someone being kicked and the she heard groaning.

Then water began to spread throughout the ship and the water now reached to her ankles and she could feel the cold water rush up against her feet.

Now she was sick and wet and that was never a good combination. Then she heard someone bust down the door.

It was a boy about her age or maybe even a year older. He had shaggy brown hair and big Violet eyes. He was pretty attractive but Lusmaine was more scared than anything she didn't know who this guy was.

"Hey are you Lusamine?"

He asked.

Lusamine nodded nervously.

"I'm Luke and I work with Lillian. You probably know her. She's very close friends with your brother. I have some great news for you. Lillian's cracked the case I'm 100% sure that you can go home now and I'm 100% sure that Marcus will be behind bars and he won't ever voter you again. Marcus is working with Neo Team Rocket but don't worry that guy will be in prison forever. He's committed murder to get where he is today. Here's the best part. You can go home and see your family now."

Said Luke.

Tears streamed down Lusamine's face. She couldn't believe it. She looked at Luke and gazed into his pretty violet eyes.

"I can go home now?"

Asked Lusamine as tears streamed heavily down her cheeks.

Luke tucked a strand of Lusamine's blonde hair behind her ear and smiled at her.

"Yeah you can go home now. Gladion's birthday is coming soon so you get to celebrate it with him. Hapu has the cure and she's waiting for us to get you to get back. We're on Poni Island but we're at the docks. Hapu's in the forest. Her hideout is down there. Aracel and Lei are down there too they're going to help Hapu cure you while Lillian and the rest of us are going to fight off Team Rocket. I'm going to take you to Aracel and Hapu. Can you walk?"

He asked.

Lusamine could barely even formed sentiences. She felt like she brain was much and being down here on this boat has probably sped up the process of the poison.

Lusamine tried to stand up on her own but her legs shook and she fell into Luke's arms.

"Imm going to take that as a no."

Said Luke giggling.

Lusamine have him a small smile and and he scooped her up in his arms. Lusmaine turned a bright shade of red and looked away.

"We'll get you home safe and sound I promise."

Said Luke.

Lusamine smiled at Luke and he smiled back.

"Is the boat sinking?"

She asked.

"Yeah that was my doing... Don't worry I have a Pokemon that can get us out of here."

Said Luke releasing his Pidgeott.

He hopped on Pidgeott's back and the flew off of the boat and took Lusmaine to try land. When they finally got to the forest Luke had taken Lusamine to Hapu's hideout.

"Hapu I have Lusamine with me."

Said Luke.

Hapu looked at Lusamine who was in Luke's arms.

"You poor dear. Let's get you healed up and fast! Let's get you out of that damp prison uniform and get you into some real clothes."

Said Hapu.

Lusamine nodded and Luke watched as they took Lusamine into the under ground base. Aracel and Lei walked over to Luke and smiled at him.

"You don't have to worry she's safe with us."

Said Aracel.

Luke glanced over and saw Hapu preparing the cure. Luke sighed in relief.

"Yeah I know that she's in good hands."

Said Luke.

"Yeah Hapu's the best. You shouldn't worry."

Said Lei.

Luke smiled.

"I'm going to go and help Lillian and the others."

Said Luke.

Aracel and Lei nodded.

"Good luck. We hope that this is over soon."

Said Lei.

"With Lillian on the case it'll be over before you know it."

Said Luke.

Aracel smiled and Luke closed the door to the hideout hoping for the best.
