So I've noticed how a lot of people say Chiaki is too Mary Sue as an cannon character

And say that being anti-social, barely sleep and eat, too curvy of a body, and everyone liked her from the get-go is what makes her a Mary Sue she barely has flaws.

Let me say this:

Everyone had no clue about each other(other than the ones who do go to class and Kazuichi), that includes Chiaki

Everyone didn't like her from the get-go

They didn't know her

And she didn't want to get to know them because she has nothing else to talk about other than games.

Even though we literally saw the scene with Chiaki and Hajime on the first episode of the Despair arc, but Chiaki immediately left him until Hajime noticed and pointed out what game she was playing. And she was impressed that Hajime can play it 5 times in a row, while she can play it 10 times in a row. She even admitted she never met anyone who can play that much

That proves that Chiaki never bothered tried making friends. She might've when younger, but as she got into her games more, she started to realize that life is just a game, so why interact with the other players?

I know we get nothing about Chiaki's backstory and why she became the Ultimate Gamer and that's okay actually. A lot of times we don't get to know that much of a character because we can sort of tell already what kind of person they are right from the get-go.

The reason why Chiaki became so popular with her classmates was because Chisa inspired her to be better than what she was already. Chisa made Chiaki more like-able than she already was before she met everyone.

I say the AI Chiaki is sort of different because the reason why the AI Chiaki sleep while standing a lot is because she was a large program. A program that has to make different responses each time and talk about something different each time. And since it was a large program, the AI Chiaki literally has to sleep while standing in front of everyone else because the program has to process on what she should do next.

And a lot of people wondered where did Chiaki's sleeping quirk go. That's because the AI Chiaki was a large program. That what makes the two Chiaki's different. Another thing is that in order for the AI Chiaki to run more smoothly, they probably had to cut out a lot of information of what common knowledge we have. Like Christmas, Valentine's Day, and the Doll Festival in Japan. The AI Chiaki didn't know holidays cause it was left out so she could respond better.

And the fact was the program was set to be a student that depends on what the patients wanted, and I can't blame them for wanting to see Chiaki again. They wanted to see her again was because not only she was a friend, but they are responsible for her death as well. I mean, hell, one of them could've pulled their eyes away from the screen and go and try to save Chiaki, but they couldn't cause of Ryota's brainwashing ability. Junko was able to work with that ability more that she was able to do it live on Chiaki's "execution".

And people say that since Hajime was completely erased, Izuru shouldn't have been crying. Let me say this, Izuru was aware that he was someone else before, meaning Chiaki was someone important to that someone he was before. Even though they erased all of his memories and Hajime, they couldn't erase, probably, body memory. Sure Izuru cried when he picked up her hair clip, but maybe during their time together, as Hajime and Chiaki, she might've accidentally dropped her hair clip and Hajime picked it up for her. Hajime solely remembered this cause his body did this for her, and probably multiple times. So when Izuru picked up the hair clip, he realized 'Wait. What am I doing? She's dead, she doesn't need this anymore.' And there goes the tears down his face.

And her body being curvy? It's Dangan Ronpa, people. Of course there is going to be curvy girls in that damn fandom. Hell, look at Akane!

Also, when all you do it play games, psychologically, you will be so into the game that you'll forget that you have necessities as a human being. That's Chiaki. She got so into her games that she forgot to take care of herself, so she has to rely on other people to help.

Also, for anime characters, a lot of the barely have any flaws to begin with. It's hard to make a character with balanced traits, it's impossible to make a whole new human being. I'm still revising my OCs and consider them fully done, but still revise cause I think, psychologically, what if I do this to them, and with their positive traits, what kind of flaws are made?

And that's the thing! Dangan Ronpa entertains the mystery lovers AND the psychological lovers cause the games and anime gets into your head psychologically, making you think what should you side: Hope, Despair, or create your own future like the 77th class did.

Also, Kodaka admitted that he made Junko purely evil so we won't have to connect with her cause there is to much villains with tragic back stories that makes the viewers understand their reasons of why they're evil. Junko did what she did because of despair. And there has to be a character that is like Junko, but is a good guy. And that's where Chiaki comes in. Chiaki is like Junko, but Chiaki cares about her future instead of hope and despair. You need both to have a bright future. That's why Chiaki seems Mary Sue cause there had to be someone like Junko. During the despair arc, my exact thoughts were that everything was going according to Junko's plan for despair, and that seems over power. So, I don't see people hating on Junko cause of her OPness, yet I see people trashing on Chiaki because she's too Mary Sue.

I'll admit this: I connect with the Danagn Ronpa characters on a personal level. Like I'm part of their lives to see who is the favorite and who is not. Nagito, as you all know, is my favorite and Hiyoko is my least favorite. But for favorite female and least favorite male, it has to be Chiaki and Teruteru.

Basically, what this rant was leading up to was that Kodaka made Chiaki who she is so there is someone like Junko, but against Junko. In my theory anyway.

That's all I have to say.
