Yandere's/Misunderstandings

I don't understand people saying they want a yandere lover then be like don't kill me!

People might say I'm into yandere characters

That might be true for me, but I just love the psychotic characters cause of what made them psychotic so I can use that for making new characters or as a plot device

A lot of people say seeing a yandere boy is rare in anime, which I have to agree because the trope for "dere" is mainly used to describe female characters. But the thing is you can still use the tropes to help you describe a male character if you don't know how to explain what that character is like.

But in the Dangan Ronpa fandom, a lot of misunderstandings happen. An example that is the most misunderstanding: Nagito Komaeda is insane and a psychopath.

Let me clear something up: Nagito Komaeda is not Junko Enoshima.

Junko is describe as despair. That is really all she is, but us fans call her insane that is the correct way to describe her. She's spreading despair because she was basically bored, as far as I can see. Because she says despair is unpredictable, she might as well end the world.

Nagito is describe as a hope fanatic. Due to him not only losing his parents and get kidnapped, he also has been diagnose with stage 3 malignant lymphoma and frontotemporal lobe dementia. Basically, this character should be dead by now, but he isn't because of his luck keeping him alive. In his wiki, he does show signs of suffering from bvFTD, which is caused by his FTD. This explains his unusual personality. Basically, Nagito's personality, his character is like this because of frontotemporal lobe dementia. Not only that, but the possibilities of him not really using his common sense is because of his lymphoma. His brain is slowly rotting away in his head, which has to hurt a lot since he's still alive. But the thing is, how did he know he had these...things in him?

One day, maybe while getting ready for the day, he might've noticed some white-strands growing from his own scalp. This obviously is concerning for anybody for who is still, very much, still young. He obviously decided to make trip to the hospital, to find out what is going on with him. This might've token place after he probably graduating from either junior high or middle school, if middle school lasts that long.

So, going to the hospital, he makes the check in. After running through tests, the doctor has to give him the bad news. The possible dread of dying at any moment feared him, and went home, knowing he's probably going to die alone. And what came in the mail, during his self-pity? A scouted letter to be the Ultimate Lucky Student at Hope's Peak Academy. Now let's stop for a moment.

If we were Nagito right now, what would we think?

Most common: "Wow, I get scouted by the greatest school in the world, but I'm still going to die soon."

Common: "Wait. If these students are truly Ultimate, maybe one of them can help me with my dementia and lymphoma!"

Knowing Nagito, he might've picked the common answer, because who wants to die alone? This might've lead to his love for hope. The Ultimates are considered "man-kinds hope" and they were scouted to be "man-kinds hope". Due to his bvFTD, he started to have an uncontrollable obsession with hope.

A lot of you might be thinking this: "Nimi! This is explanation has no evidence what so ever! In his wiki, it's stated that he doesn't feel guilt or remorse!"

That's where you're wrong! Nagito had a pet dog, which he deeply cared for, since Nagito's parents were dead, he must've thought his dog as family. The shock of his dog dead really broke him, so in order to cope with this type of situations, he has to completely shut off feelings like guilt/remorse.

"But Nimi, due to Nagito's luck, shouldn't he been miraculously been cured from his diseases?"

Nagito's luck doesn't work that way. In his cycle of luck, something unlucky must happen then following something equally as good luck. When his parents died, he inherited a large sum of money and gained freedom. He said "gained freedom" because his parents might've been strict in a way, but Nagito said his mother doesn't compliment him, meaning his parents might've been very busy people where they probably don't have a lot of free time for him.

Thought he does claim that they did take him to an amusement park and went some where for vacation, but who knows? He might've said that they were with him during the amusement part trip so people won't see them as parents who basically neglected their child.

A lot of people wonder why he doesn't like normal people, but it might have to do with the fact that a lot of them didn't really help him out during his time of struggle, or just said that so people would stay away from him because of his messed up cycle of luck. He did somewhat feared of someone dragging into his cycle of luck, so he must've token the role of a "loner" so keep others safe.

"Nimi! You compared him with Junko earlier! What happened to that?"

Let me explain.

I'm giving a detailed description of Nagito because Junko is just someone that we can't feel sorry for. Even Kodaka said so himself!

Kodaka made Junko to be someone who we can't feel sorry for!

Anyway, I'm ending my rant here.
