This morning I had woken up earlier than Orilina's alarm, got ready for class and then furiously shook Titan until he woke up, ignoring his morning rambles of 'Lizard boy, let me sleep' or 'can we just study later' I had tossed his uniform at his face and dragged him to the balcony as soon as he was ready.

"Rise and shine," I laughed with a smile before turning to face the bright rising sun, with the breaking moon slowly sinking on the horizon behind us. He joined me by my side, rubbing his eyes.

"Lizard boy, really?" I continued.

"Sometimes just Newty," he chuckled, "Are you always going to wake me up before her alarm?" he questioned me, as he hid his face from the sun, the wind blowing his long black hair past his face, there was a slight glow in his eyes.

"I don't really know, just went with what I thought should happen." I mumbled more to myself than to him. He angled his head towards me slightly, an eyebrow raised.

"What you thought should happen?" He repeated looking for some more information on the matter, but I merely ignored the subject.

I turned to him and gently grasped the white peacock feathers that seemed to grow in from the ends of his hair, "So are these real or..?"

He gave a slight smile and grabbed a lock of my hair, "Just as real as this."

That was about a week ago. Now, we're sitting with what seems like the rest of the first years as Cardin pummels Jaune to a pulp, we're supposed to be learning about our health bars that are displayed on some tablets we received, along with the rest of the teams.

I guess it might help in battle, but I still didn't appreciate the looks of 'You better learn how to use it before you get someone killed' that everyone seemed to associate with me. I admit It was reckless and I had no idea what we were up against, but I wasn't just going to make the same mistake again, I hope.

After the teaching was over and we had been told about the upcoming school event we set off to lunch. the cafeteria was nice and open and everyone had a spot to sit either with their team or their friends.

Titan spotted a seat for us first and lead us over, but as he went to sit down someone called out from beside him.

"You can't sit there, that's our seat!" A bossy looking girl informed him. Titan turned to look at her, but ended up looking down to her.

"What did you just say to me?!" He asked with a harsh tone, the girls face lit up pink and she took a step back looking nervous.

"N-n-nothing, have a good lunch." She managed to choke out before turning with her team and leaving. I laughed as I joined Titan at the table, almost certain that at some point she mistook his long hair for him being a girl.

"Seriously, what did she say to me, I didn't hear her the first time and I didn't really want to ignore her. I hope it wasn't important.." Titan rambled while Newton shook his head from across the table, a slight smile plastered on his face and Orilina tried to contain her laughter from next to him. Titan Teton was really just a big softy in an intimidatingly large and muscular body.

We put our plates down in front of us, Orilina started picking at her food while Newton took a sip of coffee in between each bite. Titan and I didn't eat, I was looking around the room at all the people wondering how they got here, if they had to pass a test to be trialed or if they were here merely by luck. Titan started stacking spare cups, trays, and plates that people had left on the table hoping someone other than them would clean up their mess.

My team finished eating, before stacking and organizing the dirty dishware all together, every so often some other students with smaller stacks of four or six plates a handed them to us helpfully. I looked up when I heard some unusual tones of voice and saw Cardin bullying another student, a Faunus to be precise. My hands curled into fists and I narrowed my eyes angrily at the scene.
