I was looking out the window of our classroom as I tapped my pen to my blank paper. I was currently at school trying to concentrate on my lessons but my brain couldn't function normally. Aish.. Why did it have to be this time? Finals are getting nearer and the last thing I wanted to do is mope around.
I felt my phone vibrate in my pocket so I slowly took it out. I opened the message as I covered my phone with my book.
taetae: kookie.. I'm sorry again. Please answer back if you have time.
taetae: let's talk. I'll be waiting at the cafe.
I felt something squeezed my heart as I read the message. But I was distracted from my thoughts by Jimin waving his hand at my face trying to catch my attention. I furrowed my eyebrows at him because he look panicked.
"...right Mr. Jeon?" I quickly straightened up at my seat and let my phone down.
"Uh..uhm.. Yes Ma'am?"
"I can see that you are much more paying attention at your phone than what was being discussed here."
"I'm really sorry Ma'am." I stood up and bowed at her. I sat back down looking at her with wide eyes. Wanting to show her that she has my full attention now.
She just looked at me sternly and let me off the hook for a while.
"As I was saying. Finals are getting near. And we already ended our lesson so I assume everybody's ready for the exam." And she looked at me straight in the eye. "I have high expectations from this class."
We all nodded and after a few words of wisdom, she let us go.
I walk down the halls with Jimin by my side. Tae's message still in my head.
"Hey, what's wrong Jungkookie?" Jimin asked me with concern visible in his voice.
"Nothing hyung. I didn't sleep well last night." Well, that was true because I really did stay awake last night. The handsome brunette's face just can't get off my head, either asleep or awake. I groaned in frustration.
"Just don't overwork, Kook. You're stressing yourself already. I told you, you're already smart enough and no need to overexert your mind. I'm your friend here and I'm worried because you might get sick." He sighed. "Can you please listen to me even for once?"
I smiled at him, feeling touched by his words.
"Okay, hyung." And I was silent once again.
I saw Jimin stopped walking beside me and glared at me this time.
"Aish this kid! You really want to keep everything to yourself huh?"
He looked frustrated now and he was stomping his feet like a grumpy kid. I look at him confused.
"I really have this gut feeling that what you're going through is because of the guy at the cafe."
"His name is Taehyung, you know."
"See?! I knew it!" His voice so loud that some students glance our way.
"Can you please talk quietly? People are looking at us now." I can't stop myself in getting annoyed. This hyung is pain in the ass sometimes.
"What did he do to you? Did he hurt you? Did he touch you? Tell me!"
"Hyung please!" He stopped and look at me with worried eyes. "Let's just go somewhere. Maybe watch a movie or eat pizza."
He was still staring at me trying to search my eyes. Finally he said, "Okay. Pizza."
We smiled at the thought of the food. I knew nothing in this world can beat pizza. I need to take a break from these feelings. I decided to forget about Tae for awhile for my own good. We joked as we walked out of the school premises completely forgetting about the guy waiting at the cafe.
