Jin awakened the next morning, a pair of warm arms securely wrapped around him, and his head resting on Namjoons chest.
He was so warm and comfortable, that the last thing he wanted to do was move from this embrace. Jin closed his eyes again, focusing on the sound of Namjoons breathes and the way his chest lifted slowly and then lowered consistently. Jin yawned ever so slightly, not even bothering to look at the time right now.
Then his stomach grumbled noisily. Jins eyes reopened, and he looked over to the bedroom door. Namjoon was still out. He must've been more tired then Jin thought. Again, his stomach yelled at him.
He loved Namjoon. He really did. But when it came down to it, between cuddling in the morning and eating, Jin knew what part of his body he had to listen to. His stomach.
Jin very slowly lifted Namjoons arm off of his waist, and moved it aside. Jin untangled their legs, and carefully scooted to the other end of the bed. He slipped over and started tip toeing over to their bags to get some clothes to change into. Jin carefully avoided the broken lamp on the floor, momentarily pausing to think of how the heck he'd explain that to the others.
But then again, Jin knew that just saying Namjoons name would be enough for everyone to understand. That's a reason why they don't have any lamps at home... Five too many had broken.
Jin crouched by his bag and took out a pair of jeans and a pink shirt, and changed right there, looking over to Namjoon after he had changed to see him still asleep, looking perfectly content. Jin couldn't help a smile.
It felt perfect.
Sure, sometimes it hurt. And it was hard, with all of these responsibilities they both had, and they constantly had to find ways to make things work out, but in the end it was always alright. Like right now.
Jin opened the door slowly and closed it as quietly as possible, and started to the kitchen. He noticed Jimin was sleeping on the couch for some reason, a blanket pulled all the way up to his chin. Jin silently continued on his venture for food, to end his stomachs constant protesting an complaints.
Jin flicked the stove top on, an placed a pan on it. He went to the fridge and pulled out two cartons of eggs, some green pepper, and cheese. He set it by the stove top and then went to the cupboard to get some nonstick spray along with salt and pepper.
Soon enough, he had made everyone omelets. As he was finishing the last few, some of the others started appearing from their rooms, magically summoned by the scent of food. Jimin was the first, and when Jin asked why he was out on the couch he replied 'I started coughing and didn't wanna keep Jungkook awake'.
Jin handed Jimin his plate of omelets and smiled at him for being so considerate for the Maknae.
The next ones to wake up were Hobi and Tae, Hobi, being the literal sun, dragging Tae behind him towards the smell of fresh breakfist. Tae hugged Jin as a 'good morning'. And after they got their food they went off to eat at the table.
And then finally Namjoon, followed by Jungkook just a second later.
Jin was very tempted to kiss Namjoon on the cheek. Instead, he bit his own lip slightly and just handed him his breakfist after saying a usual good morning with a smile.
Soon, everyone had their breakfist- except Yoongi who came out last and got his plate a little late. Jin made sure no one went back and stole any of his omelets.
Finally, he got to eat. It was fantastic. Jin couldn't help but mentally compliment his cooking skills.
It didn't take very long until everyone left the early morning haze and had started to fully awaken. Granted, Jin could tell the three who had decided to take a dip yesterday didn't look very good, and Jin worried that they may get colds. That would certainly bring an abrupt ending to their time at the cabin.
After everyone had finished eating, and everything was taken care of, they all went to the living room and pushed the couches and coffee table out of the way to make some more room for dance practice.
They set up a small Bluetooth speaker, and hooked it up to Namjoons phone, so they were able to play Blood Sweat and tears and practice along with it.
Practice lasted a good few hours, and afterwards Jin and Namjoon practiced (with Hobi) on some more of the choreography.
Other than that, the day went by without anything really happening. Jin had wanted to go out on another hike, down a different trail with anyone else that wanted too, but the sky had been overrun by dark stormy clouds. Rain had started to fall in heavy sheets, and that plan was quickly dispatched of.
Jin was a bit disappointed, to say the least. They eventually pushed the furniture back to where it was, and relaxed in the living room.
Hobi, Jimin, Tae, Jungkook, and Yoongi ended up playing some cards. Yoongi was currently beating everyone else.
Namjoon was sitting on the couch, doing some more lyric writing when Jin came over and scooted over next to him.
"What does the weather look like for the rest of the week? The last thing we'd want is to be stuck up here with no power or way to communicate. " Jin asked, disguising his closeness to Namjoon as just wanting to see his phone screen as he checked the forecast.
Namjoon looked it up and frowned. "It doesn't look good... There are possibilities of a huge storm day after tomorrow. And temperatures are gonna drop to extreme lows, so it'll probably be a bunch of sleet. "
Jin wrinkled up his nose at this news. If they wanted to get back to town and get a hotel room, it'd be best to be back by at least tomorrow night. Jin looked at the others, all laughing as Jungkook somehow turned the tables on Yoongi. Jin didn't even know why Jungkook knew how to play poker.
"I guess that's the end of the trip then, huh?" Jin, careful to be sure everyone was focusing on yelling about Kookies comeback, leaned his head on Namjoons shoulder. Namjoon nodded.
"I guess so. "
After a minute the game ended and Junkook had won, basking in the glory of victory as he laughed. Jin separated from Namjoon and went over.
"Deal me in!" He took a seat to join the game, Namjoon not to far behind.
"Me too!"
the seven, all laughing together as they placed card games, the rain pouring outside. Jin laughed, and heard a crack of lightening. No one else payed attention, but he turned his head away, towards the window.
Deep down inside, something felt... Off.
