Chapter 23: Sweet Lullaby

Craig's POV

I looked down at Valak, crying salt water as Tyler walked down the room. I kept looking down, and soon a tear fell down my cheek as well. I heard Tyler stop, and pick up something. I looked back at him, that's when I noticed something was wrong...

My eyes widened as his whole arm was colored in pure black while it was spreading through out his body. The feather he was holding was pure black and shimmering. His face turned pale as he turned to me. His face was full of fear as he was breathing heavy. "Tyler!" I tried running to him, but it was too late. The black impaled him with a shard right in his chest. The black took over his body as he fell to the ground. His body laid limp on the ground as black covered him. 

I watched in horror as his body twitched at the touch of the black. I put my head on his chest, not hearing the safe sounds of his heart beat. A tear ran down my cheek, as another one ran down. "T-Tyler?!" My hand brushed against his chest as I saw his cut. His lifeless body was taken by the pitch black of night as it was slowly draining from his body. 

My Tyler has left his limp body alone with me as he drifted off into a better place. His innocent soul has been transformed with the loss of his body. (I would be crying right now if this wasn't my story :P)

"T-Tyler!! C-Come b-back!! P-Please!!!" My voice scattered off into different tones as I was washed over by tears. The same tears made me realize how much I love Tyler, and how much I needed him in my life. But now he was gone, by an unknown entity that took my Tyler away from me. I only sang a song in return, knowing that he will still hear me up in the clouds.

"Y-You are my sunshine, 

my only s-sunshine. 

You make me h-happy when skies are grey. 

You'll never know d-dear, 

how much I love you...

So please don't take my sunshine a-away." My teeth clenched together, as Tyler's shirt was now a dark grey from my tears. His eyes were closed as his face was pale, almost white. My vision was blurred by the tears in my eyes as I felt my eyes starting to get a puffy by the second. 

I heard footsteps behind me, making me realize my father was still in the room. I looked back at him with tears still streaming down my face. I watched as no emotion came out of him, not even a frown. He was just standing behind me, not caring if he left my presence. I gave him a glare, which he still didn't care. He probably realizes I'm gay, big deal.

I watched as he turned around, and walked out of the room. What a nice and caring father. I looked back down at the lifeless body below me. My eyes were covered with the tears that soon drew me to the point of desperation for my Tyler. 

Please come back...

I need you here with me...

I don't know a world without you...

My love, my one and only, please come back...

Please...
