"Oh look who's back from hell." Oh god not only was my father home, but my abusive older brother was home. He's like 21. Then all of sudden my dad came barging out the front door.
"Eh, what's this, Caleb. I believe our dinners here." They always call me dinner because of how short I am.
"Shut up! Both of you and leave me alone!" I pushed pass them and ran up to my room. Soon after my brother comes in with a knife. "Get out you fucker." He chased me around my room till I tricked him out and I locked him out.
They may seem like their playing around with me but they aren't.
I went into my bathroom and started crying on the bathroom rug. I eventually fell asleep.

I woke up to loud banging and a lot of police sirens. I looked out my foggy window and saw the cops arresting my drunk dad and high brother. Then they drove away.
I'm all alone now. No one to care for me. Not like they did before. My phone went off in the distance.
"Hello?" I answered.
"Connie are you watching the news! You need to see it now!" It was my boyfriend Noah.
"Yeah hold on" I turned on the TV and listened to it.
"We interrupt the Family Guy for this breaking news. Harry Scottins and Caleb Scottins were arrested for smoking illegal weed and for child abuse. Officials say that the child is under good care and she would go up for adoption."
"Are you all right? Are you with them?"
"Yeah I'm alright, but I'm not with them I'm at home. Those damn fuckers left me."
"Its OK I'm here for you babe. Always. I'll be right over just stay there."
"No Noah. Goodbye." Then I hung up. I was planning to run away. Away from everyone. Away from all the conflict in life. Only to where.
