We reached a milestone. Well done ☺

I don't know how I wasn't late to school Monday morning but my fashion sense showed that I was tired. Jeans and mustard yellow sweater with a teal beanie made it look like I was more hungover than just tired but to be honest, right now, as I ran out into the rain to get to my car, I didn't care. I threw my Pac-Man backpack onto the passenger side seat and took a breath.

The rest of the day was of a similar fashion rushing around to get things done with little breathers. I sat down in business and closed my eyes for one second leaning my head in my hands, hearing the chair next to me pull out.

"Never let me do so much in one weekend again." I groaned, not opening my eyes.

"You don't seem like the kind of girl that ever has time to relax on the weekend like you're supposed too, bright eyes, so I'm not gonna make that promise." He replied, getting his books out of his bag.

"How's your morning been, Fruit Loops?" I said, shaking my head and returning to the real world, giving him a cheesy smile, while he glared at the nickname. From his eyes, I couldn't tell if he liked it or was indifferent.

"Like every Monday morning." He replied.

"So rushed, slow and like Chinese water torture."

"Exactly." He laughed, grinning widely at me. "But it would have been better with company."

"See you say that now but would you really want to go to training with me and watch me swim for around two hours?" I questioned.

"I wouldn't say no..."

"Eli!" I shouted, then looked around to see some of our classmates looking at us, not that they really cared as they just glared at us because of the disturbance from the various things that they were doing.

"You set yourself up for that one." He said, which I did really.

"You know I wear a professional swimsuit so it's not nearly what you think it's like." I informed.

"But it's tight and a swimsuit." He said, still smiling at me. I could only imagine what he was thinking about.

"I'm gonna give up with this now because my neck is like a creaky door. I'm never sleeping in a hammock again either. I should know by now that sleeping in that hammock is a bad idea." I complained, rolling my neck on my hands. He was quiet for a couple of seconds for an unknown reason but I was in heaven trying to get the knot out of my neck.

"I feel your mood today is something along the lines of a grumpy cat." He finally said.

"It's only because I know today cannot stand up to how good yesterday was." I replied, opening my eyes and looking at him with a quiet smile coming on my face while thinking about it.

"It was a lot of fun and I agree with you there." He said, looking intensely into my eyes. It had been too long to not break contact without it being awkward when our teacher came in and demanded everyone's attention for the class.

For most of the rest of the day where we had classes together we made small talk and got along better than we had done last week but there was an atmosphere that I couldn't shake between us. It wasn't unpleasant it was just odd and I couldn't work it out. I was happy of the break in my science classes which we didn't share and lunch was a good distraction from the afternoon where we had Calculus and English together.

Lunch was the first task though. I only had Wesley in my homeroom and I left it as long as possible to enter the room so I didn't have to talk to him about ignoring his message at the weekend even if I hadn't done it on purpose. But now I could give them all the same excuse.
