I pulled the string attached to the trapdoor leading to my room and let the ladder slide down onto the floor before climbing up, dragging my suitcase and placing it on the floor before I myself climbed and sat on the floor in the middle of my room. My room was the biggest in the house but only because I was the unexpected child and they had to make room for me so they built into the attic. At first my parents were going to have it but my mom didn't like climbing the ladder after a night shift so it was given to me at a time when I couldn't argue my case and when all my other siblings wanted it. So basically I got the best room because I'm the youngest.

It had a balcony as well as a fully furnished bathroom all to myself. I had even bought garden furniture for the balcony as it was an extension to my room as no one could get to it unless they went up my ladder. I had gone bohemian with it recently so I had two hammocks either side of the double doors on the balcony as well as my own little garden with a few potted plants. I had some cute candles for the evenings and a pile of blankets for the likely event it would get cold in the winter as well as a heater. It was my own little area that no one but me went into. I had curtains and everything that hid it from the outside world.

Inside, I had my bed which was basically a mountain of various cushions and blankets with aesthetically pleasing ornaments dotted around on my bedside tables and on the walls with fake white brick wallpaper behind it.

My room with filled with whites, pale pink, mustard yellow and copper ornaments dotted everywhere. My desk had a pc and my laptop with all my books lined on shelves above it. I also had a separate closet for all my clothes which I was very happy for as it did save room meaning I had a small sofa and T.V. that me and Mallory used for movies nights.

I also had a hidden mini fridge that I had gotten when Archer had one of his first house parties. Me, Opal and Theo had been shoved in the attic for the night as Mom and Dad were away at some government thing in D.C. and Archer was supposed to be watching us as the responsible seventeen-year-old he was supposed to be. Let's just say I supposed an awful lot of times there. Anyway, I had the best room in the house but my siblings should blame themselves for arguing over it.

I put away my clothes so they wouldn't be creased and changed into some sweatpants and a sweater and escaped to my favourite hammock (on the left) with my phone and tablet so I could talk to Mallory and read for a bit afterwards.

I looked at my phone for the first time all day and saw a few message from different people. Wesley had at one point tried to start a conversation which I wasn't willing to start now. Noah had also texted me asking if I was alright after I didn't reply to Wes's message as I usually replied immediately. I told both of them I was fine and would talk to them tomorrow at lunch.

Archer texted me a while back to check if I was alright so I filled him in so he could put his mind at rest. I'm sure he was still feeling bad about Leila coming home early.

Next was Mallory, who I'd casually texted all weekend but she didn't know I'd spent about fifty percent of it with Eli Moore. She'd expect a phone call even if she didn't know that there was gossip to be had so I rang her.

"Good evening my seasoned traveller friend, how was your dear brother and sister?" Mallory said, upon picking up her phone.

"Opal is in Paris and Archer is still with Leila so all in all nothing's changed really. We watched friends and went to our restaurant, very relaxing, just what I needed." I said, swinging myself slightly in the hammock.

"You've watched Friends for two days straight?" She questioned, while I quickly became alarmed. Why did she always catch on to the questions I didn't want her to ask?

"Well, no. He was only free for Friday night dinner, and during the day Saturday until around ten Sunday." I answered.

"So why are you back so late?" Leave it Mal.

"Why are you asking so many questions today?" I asked, quite aggressively. Not that I meant to, it's just a touchy subject at the moment and she knew it after that, which is why she kept pushing the subject.

"Because I know you Cordelia Elena Jessamine Williams, and you are hiding something." And she was very vocal about when she knew something that I didn't as I was always the book smart one that knew everything, however she was always better with people.

"I may have spent the day with someone other than my brother." I breathed quietly, letting my secret loose. I was always weak in the face of Mallory Carter's wrath.

"Oh my God, you went on a date? Who with?" She squealed. I had been on a few dates but she always knew who it was and didn't think that they were up to my standard, not that I even knew what my standard was but she was always right as I never went further with them. The one person I had kissed, she hadn't approved of or even known about but kissing him isn't what I should be thinking about right now even if that's what I wanted to be doing. I really did need to have a thorough brainstorm about that situation later.

"If I tell you this, you cannot tell anyone because I've already promised that I wouldn't tell anyone, to protect myself as well as him. Only my brother knows which means my siblings probably already know but that's not the point, you've got to promise me Mal?" I begged. As much as today was so much fun, I was aware it was because I wasn't thinking about consequences so after a while I wasn't embarrassed about the fact that I wasn't just kissing a boy I didn't know a week ago, I was making out with a boy in very public places. It was like we were so in love that we didn't care about our surroundings but in reality I think we were both drunk on the freedom today gave us.

"You are really panicking about this, aren't you?" Mallory said, reading me perfectly once again, even if it was over the phone.

"Maybe." I whispered.

"Hey, it only means you care which isn't a bad thing." Oh but it so is. "You don't have to tell me but you should know that he's probably got one person that he'll tell and I promise not to judge as I can tell I know him." I was prepared to tell her when she through every thought of Eli out the window. "Is it Wes?"
