Telling and Door Duty

Louis' POV

"What is it honey," my mom asks.

I clear my throat and say, "Alexa's pregnant."

I look at her and see her expression. I knew that look. It's the same look I got when I failed my last year of school. I had to redo that year.

It was the look of disappointment.

"Girls, can you go up to your rooms please? I want to talk to your brother and Alexa," she speaks.

They run upstairs and soon the kitchen table is filled with silence once again.

"Louis? What do you mean she is pregnant."

"Um..."

"I mean why...how."

"Well...um...do you want me to go in full detail or..."

"Not like that Louis! That's not what I mean! Look what I mean is, just, how? Meaning, did you not wear a condom, or you did and it slipped off, or just I don't know. Just how?"

"Honestly, a little bit of both."

"What's that supposed to mean?!" I could tell that she was getting frustrated now.

"I used a condom! It's just, it slipped off? And then other times I didn't use one."

"Why not?!"

"I don't know! I guess I just wasn't thinking right."

"Yeah well obviously," she sighed.

"Alexa, how do you feel about this?" My mom asked.

Alexa cleared her throat now and said,"I don't know. I mean, at first I wasn't all that thrilled but now I'm sort of getting used to it. I'm starting to get excited about it."

"Yeah but honey, you're not even 17 yet, we'll you almost are, and you're going to have three kids techniacally.Are you going to keep the baby?" Alexa nodded. "And Louis," she turned her attention back to me, "do you really think that you are mature enough to take care if a child?"

I thought about that answer for a bit. I don't really know if I am but I'm not going to just not take care of my own child. I know I'm not old enough or mature enough. I have to learn how to be though. In order for my child and Alexa. Therefore I must lie to my mother, which is rare for me, and say that I am mature enough. That I will be an amazing dad. That I am thrilled about having to grow up. Maybe if I keep on telling myself that, it will all be true.

"Yes mom I am. I'm great with kids anyway. Look mom, I'm going to be the best dad I can be. I already love this little child inside of Lex's belly,"I laughed.

"Ok then, I'm happy for you. The both of you. Oh my goodness, I'm going to be a grand-mom!" She squealed.

~NEXT DAY~

Alexa's POV

Dinner went a lot better than I thought it would. Yeah Jay was worried at first, but now she's excited. And she can't wait to tell all of her friends tonight at this big party thing she has going on. That's what everyone is getting ready for right now actually. Lottie and Fizzy are helping their mom out out food for the guests, the twins are upstairs mounting on their outfits, and Louis and I are cleaning the living room up.

"Oh my! Lottie! Fizzy! Come look in here. Alexa and Louis cleaned up the living room! Now this is how a living room is supposed to look like," Jay gushes on about how clean the room is.

"Thanks mom! I did it all myself!" Lou says.

I gasp and throw the pillow that belongs to the couch, at his head.

"Ha ha very funny. Actually, I did most of the work," I explain.

"Sure you did," Louis says with a cheeky smile.

Soon Lottie and Fizzy walk in and gape at how clean the room is. To be fair, we did do a lot of work. We picked up games, dolls, papers, empty cups, this room was very messy. We spent most of our time cleaning up in this room.

"Ok, people should be arriving any minute now, so who wants to open the door for everyone and give a pamphlet out." Jay asked.

"I do," I volunteered.

"Are you sure honey?"

"Yeah, I mean it's not like its a hard job."

"Ok then great! Now you two girls," she said turning her head to Lottie and Fizzy, "go see what's taking the twins so long while I go get the last thing out of the oven and place it down somewhere."

The girls sprinted upstairs and Jay left for the kitchen. I sat down soon to be tackled by a Louis.

"Get off of me you freak!"

"Not without a kiss!"

He leaned down and kissed my lips then got off of me. He sat down right next to me and put his hands on my belly. He was fascinated with my belly. Every night when we go to sleep I have him rub my back. When he thinks that I'm asleep, instead of rubbing my back, his hands move to my baby bump. It's really the cutest thing ever. I can already tell that he's going to be the best dad in the world.

He's loving and caring. You could even say a little too much. He's very over protective of me. It gets annoying sometimes actually. Like a couple nights ago for example. I was actually really excited about coming down here and seeing his friends and family. After we had dinner with his family, we were supposed to meet his friends at a club. When we got there we all sat down and had appetizers. Then all of a sudden he saw his ex and got all worried about me. He came up with a lame excuse though. He didn't know that I saw her too. It doesn't bother methought. She doesn't bother me. I understand that her mom and Lou's mom are best friends. And I know that tonight Louis is going to try to keep me away from them. All because he doesn't want me getting hurt. I sometimes feel like he's an older brother to me than he is a boyfriend. But I see his point too. I'm his girlfriend and he wants to make sure I'm okay at all times. Not only me but his child too.

"It's better that he cares, than to not care at all" I always tell myself.

"What are you thinking about?" Louis interrupts my thoughts.

"Nothing," I smile.

"I'll let it slide for now," he says and I just laugh.

Then I hear the doorbell ring and I get up.

"Where are you going?" Lou asks.

"Door duty."

A/N: Ok so my computer isn't working right now so this might be the last update for a little while. I'm going to try and update on my dad's iPad but he rarely lets me use it. Rory for any spelling mistakes!! Once I get a computer I'll go back and fix it.
