IV—Piper
Once Piper managed to convince Jason and Leo that their apparent need for nachos with chili hot pepper salsa wasn’t at the top of their current list of priorities, they headed over to find out what the mysterious couple on the yacht wanted.
Piper grabbed onto Jason’s hand as he harnessed the winds to fly them over to the yacht, much preferring this form of travel than Leo’s suggestion of shooting them into the yacht with the Argo II’s ballistae.
Leo gave a muffled sound of protest as they soared over the few feet of sea water, which glistened as clear as crystal beneath them.
Luckily, no one was around to witness their short flight.
They landed with a soft thud on the Deceit’s deck, and Piper took in her surroundings.
The yacht was white and expensive-looking, with leather seats stretching along the railing of the ship.
The couple themselves were dressed in clothes just as expensive-looking as their fancy yacht.
The man was sitting with a wineglass of golden liquid in his hand, smartly clad in a freshly ironed black suit and a loosened black and white spotted tie around his neck. He had long, wavy, black hair professionally slicked back with gel, and misty blue eyes which churned with a shadowy aura. He was well-tanned, like he spent hours sun-bathing, until he had achieved his perfectly bronzed skin tone. Piper couldn’t help but think that he was actually pretty handsome, in a dark, secretive kind of way.
The woman, who was similar in looks to the man, was equally as attractive. She lay on one side, sipping luxuriously from her own wine glass, and dressed in a black flowing dress of her own and a gold studded belt around her waist.
Piper spotted the neck of a golden champagne bottle sticking out of the ice-filled metal wine cooler on the small table in front of the couple.
Once the couple spotted the three demigods standing in front of them, a dazzling smile stretched itself across the man’s face, and he opened his arms wide as if he was going to give Piper, Leo and Jason a gigantic bear hug.
When not one demigod made a move towards the man, he slowly lowered his arms, letting out a bark-like sort of laugh, which made Piper’s skin crawl.
She wanted to leave the yacht right at that moment, but they had to find out what the couple had wanted them for.
The woman, on the other hand, wasn’t as welcoming as her partner, rolling her eyes and sly smirk playing upon her lips.
