*Jae's POV*
He walked up to the front door, hearing quiet whispers from the other side. Yoongi must have been over again. Jae sighed, feeling his heart drop a little. He knew what was going on between them, whether the two of them even realized it yet.
Jae of course wanted to stop it, to keep his girlfriend as HIS girlfriend. But...he didn't want to get in the way of what was clearly bound to happen. He just wanted, needed, to hold onto her as long as he could.
But when the time came, he knew he would have to let go of her.
Unlocking the door, he walked in and saw her and Yoongi sitting closely on the couch. Jae had clearly interrupted something, but he pretended nothing happened.
Suddenly, Jae knew he wouldn't be able to hold onto her much longer.
*Yoongi's POV*
Almost a month had passed. Yoongi had just finished another tour, and was finally relaxing on his bed. The whole time he was on tour, his mind wasn't on the fans or the shows. He was always thinking of her. Her and Minah.
He always wondered how they were doing, what they were doing. He would try to call almost everyday, even though he knew he shouldn't. He wasn't the boyfriend in her life, not the father in Minah's life. But still, he couldn't help himself.
He found himself thinking of their past relationship often. He enjoyed thinking of the happy moments that he shared with her when they first started dating. But as his mind wandered to the end of their relationship, when he had completely lost himself, it made him shiver. Yoongi was sick to his stomach just thinking of the way he used to act.
Yoongi was making himself angry and upset now, just thinking of all the stupid things he used to do. Partying, drinking, anything to drown his own self pity. He had no idea how she could even deal with him for how long she did.
As he was laying on his bed, staring at the ceiling, he still couldn't help but think of her words lingering in his ears. Yoongi still didn't know what she was going to tell him, and it was eating him alive. But he didn't want to ask, he knew that she would tell him when she was ready.
He just wished it was soon.
*Reader POV*
You were laying down on the couch, trying to close your eyes for a few moments while Minah was taking a short nap. Jae was sitting in a chair beside you, but it was quiet between you two.
There hadn't been a lot of connection between the two of you ever since the last time Yoongi was over. You felt bad about it, but every time you would try to talk with Jae, it was just superficial things.
The spark between you two was lost.
Your phone rang on the coffee table beside you. Sitting up, you quickly answered it. "Hello?" You asked.
It was Yoongi.
"Could you come over? Now?" Yoongi asked. It sounded urgent.
"Is everything ok?" You worried, your brow furrowing. "Yeah...I just...I need you right now." He breathed into the phone. You were all too familiar with that line from him, and knew exactly what he meant. You felt yourself blushing a bit, so you looked away to hide it from Jae.
"I-I'll be right there." You stuttered a bit. He just grunted a bit into the phone, saying "Hurry up." Then he hung up and you were left sitting there, blushing like mad.
When you turned to face Jae, he was watching you to see who called. "Um, a friend needs help with picking out an outfit for a date." You lied. You don't know why you lied, but it just came out so naturally. Somewhere in the back of your mind, you didn't want Jae to know you were going to see Yoongi.
"That's fine. When Minah's awake I'll take her to the pool for a little bit." He told you. You smiled a little, thinking about how much Minah loved to be in the water and splash her hands around. "Ok, thanks. I'll be back to make dinner." You said, getting up to slip your shoes on. You checked on Minah one more time, seeing that she was fast asleep.
Then, after saying a short goodbye to Jae, you rushed out of the apartment and quickly walked to Yoongi's place, nothing on your mind but him.
As soon as you knocked on the door, Yoongi opened it immediately. He had a familiar look in his eyes as he quickly grabbed your hand and kissed you, dragging you in and slamming the door behind you before leading you back to his room as fast as he could.
With his lips on you, you were soon pinned between his body and the bed. As the clothes started flying off, your mind started going blank. You weren't thinking of Jae, you weren't thinking of Minah. All you were thinking about was this moment, this moment with Yoongi, your one and only true love.
You woke up suddenly, and it was already dark outside. A cold breeze from the fan was hitting your chest, so you quickly covered yourself with the sheets. But...they weren't your covers. You looked around the room to see clothes thrown about, the whole room disheveled. Then you looked next to you and there he was.
Yoongi was fast asleep beside you, his bare back rising and falling with every breath. You just smiled as you sat there, admiring him. But it was short lived, as your phone started ringing.
And that's when you remembered. "Crap, I was supposed to be back to make dinner!" You whisper-shouted, grabbing your phone. You saw that it was already past 8:30 before bringing the phone to your ear. "Where are you?" Jae asked, seeming angry. And with good reason.
"I'm sorry, I'll be back soon I'm leaving now-" you said quickly, but you were cut off by Yoongi suddenly waking and grabbing your arm, trying to take your phone away. "Hey, stop!" You whisper-shouted at Yoongi, hoping Jae wouldn't hear.
Jae only sighed. "I already ate. Just be back soon, Minah doesn't fall asleep for me, remember?" He said, sounding a bit sad. "I know, I'm really sorry. I'll be back soon. I'll bring you something if you want-" you tried to say, but Jae cut you off again.
"Just get back soon." He said before hanging up. You put your phone down, feeling your stomach twist.
Then it hit you.
There you were, getting off the phone with your boyfriend, while laying in bed with your ex. But that isn't what bothered you.
What bothered you was the fact that you were completely okay with it.
"Don't leave." Yoongi mumbled as he rubbed his eyes, sitting up. He looked over at you, locking eyes. "Please." He begged, his voice cracking a little, like he was about to cry. Your heart dropped a little, seeing him get upset so easily.
"Minah needs to go to bed soon..." You trailed off, kicking the covers off to get out of his bed. Yoongi just sighed as he got out of bed too, tossing you your clothes as he got his off the floor as well.
He held your hand the whole time he walked you to the door. You didn't want to leave him yet, you just wanted to forget about everything and just be with Yoongi right now. But you knew you couldn't.
You put your hand on the doorknob, but Yoongi stopped you. "Yoongi I have to go-" But he cut you off, surprising you with a tight hug. He never used to be this affectionate, so it was odd to see him so...needy.
Nonetheless, you hugged him back, enjoying the feeling of his arms around you. But that feeling made you shiver, as you suddenly missed how you two used to be. You missed being with him.
Soon, you pulled away, giving him a quick kiss on the lips. For some reason, your voice got caught in your throat. You couldn't say goodbye. So, you slowly opened the door, seeing Yoongi just sadly watch you leave, barely letting go of your hand.
And as you finally started walking, hearing the door click closed behind you, it lingered.
The feeling of Yoongi's fingertips against your skin lingered the whole way home.
